How it all began (supporting the BLUEBIRDS)

My father being Spanish and supporting real Madrid went to watch Cardiff v Madrid and found himself cheering when Clark scored. That was him hooked. And he took me down early 80s. That was me hooked

Like a lot on here, my father took me as a child along with his best friend and his son/s. Although I am from Llanrumney I have lived for 35 years in the North.
I am still good friends with the lad whose father was my Dads mate and he is a season ticket holder. I get to see City at home about 5 or 6 times a year. And enjoy meeting up with old friends.I have been supporting Cityv aboug 60 years! I think (if memort serves me) the first game was v Crystal Palace in 1966. Greg Farrell (?) was playing for us and he got sent off cor flooring a Palace player with a punch! We lost 2-1 I think

Used to go and watch Cardiff rugby until my uncle took me to Ninian Park when I was 13 in 1993. Never looked back from that day forward.

For me it was 92/93 season, I was told by a family friend, who just happened to be a serving officer with Gwent, I was told that I needed an anger release or th oath I was on would have gotten me into a lot of trouble, basically told me in no uncertain terms to f*ck off down Cardiff on a Saturday and scream at the ref. A group of us from the estate we lived on decided to go down the Ninian Park and see what was happening. Few games later and it was a regular thing then we beat Caerau Ely 9-0 in the Welsh Cup and I was hooked

1966 for me. I was 10 years old and my father took me. The opposition played in red but I think it was Bristol City?
Apart from when I was in the forces, I have been a Season Ticket holder ever since. I have never even thought about supporting a prem or any other team.
