I think you may be right, maybe Copenhagen have had an offer for him and its been accepted, who knows :bluebird:

I think some people want it to be right!

Personally, I’m heartened by Ned’s assertion that this deal was attempted in the summer, when Nathan Trott and Matt Turner were already here!

Matt Turner has done very well when deputising, but we need at least three decent keepers going forward, and Nathan Trott would be the first player who isn’t tied to a contract already, that BBM would want to have here next season!

To be fair Chris, I'm going off what people have said on social media so don't have any knowledge of that myself. But these people don't normally make stuff up.

I certainly don't see any evidence that Trott is going anywhere or anything to suggest that we won't sign him in the summer (promotion depending).

You see no evidence that we will not sign him but we have no evidence that we will ,
we have a chance to, but it's guess work and I am sure a lot of clubs have been watching trot this season and we would have to match any offer Copenhagen are offered and that will be down to you know who, sadly.

Well we have more signs than we'll sign him than we won't.

Such as the agreement in place to sign him. Wouldn't have done that if we weren't going to sign him.

Whereas there is zero to suggest anything has changed in that.

How many Championship or even L1 clubs will pop an offer in for Mat Turner?

Exactly

He wasn't a disaster, but the bar was set low after Alnwick, Alsop, Runnarson and Horvath.

It all comes down to people who view things as a glass half full or a glass half empty.

Personally I see this signing as a positive signing.

Hopefully we’ll sign Trott as well. Let’s wait and see ……

Or you could throw in that there is .ore evidence that trott was an unknown to most UK clubs but has now been in the shop window also Copenhagen will have noticed this also, so there is the possibility that we could be gazumped by a better offer,
I hope that is not the case but arguments either way are very thin .

Not sure of the actual figures regarding Trott but if we have an obligation to buy at 1.8m if we are promoted then doesn’t that mean they can’t accept any offer until that part of contract is fulfilled/failed.

If we get promoted then they automatically accept 1.8m from us and he’s our player.

That’s how I read it in the summer?

Always good to have three goalkeepers, will stop the situation of having no GK on the bench when one of them is injured.

Sounds like this lad is good with his feet too, which is crucial to the way we play.

Welcome to the club.

Is it permanent or a loan?

To be fair, sometimes the decision to not go with a GK on the bench has been unforced (ie Bolton away)!

Great decision to sign Tyrer, a very good keeper who can most definitely step up to be our number 1 if Trott moving permanently doesn't materialise.
