A shocking game for Wales against a part time team. Many key players are going to be missing for the next game for yellow cards. A bit embarrassing if I'm honest. :banghead: What's the excuse this time? Injuries, travel, climate or a crap pitch.

AGREED!
The Ampadu booking was bloody ridiculous. That Ampadu booking was bloody ridiculous. James and Ampadu are big misses for Tuesday.

We'll they've lost 6 5 4 nil previously we managed 1 says it all really..... Liechtenstein played same tactics in those games so knew what to expect and we didn't counteract it in any way 1 nil ft

Very poor tonight - won't be good enough to win on Tuesday.

According to Ashley Williams and earnie no easy games in football and was job done scoring 6 was never on for Wales? This team as conceded 65&4 goals while not scoring themslves in whole group.... tbh we never looked like wanted to score 6 goals and happy to win game 1 nil... this is the true definition of easy game but we turned it into a struggle.

Been out all day and missed the game, but 1-0 against Liechtenstein doesn't inspire confidence.

Tuesday is huge but winning that without Ampadu and Jordan James will not be easy.

Given recent performances, can't see us winning an away play-off if we finish 3rd.

Didn’t get the commentators either bigger us up like we haven’t been shit for ages, still live off the hype from a few years ago I think, don’t think some players are good enough either but we haven’t got much of a pool to pick from that’s our issue

I worry about Euro 2028, which will be a home tournament for us.

Some of the current squad are getting older and although there's a few decent young players coming through, it's not enough.

We will probably be there. England will obviously qualify automatically. Scotland are on the up too so could also get there. There are two qualification places reserved for home nations who don't qualify so we'll probably take one of those.

We started off playing some lovely football under Bellamy. For some reason we have gone far too laboured in our attacking approach. The intensity and creativity just seemed to have vanished from his first few games in charge.

Ye he started well in the nations league but since then not much really, only an half away in Belgium and even then he got it wrong should have shut up shop when we got it back to 3-3 not go for the winner that point probs cost us now in the group looking at it and shows Belgium there for the taking with Macedonia and Kazakhstan drawing with them,I just think Bellamy changes the team to much, mark Harris leading the line he doesn’t even start for Oxford it’s embarrassing, and now with ampadu and james out for Tuesday’s game you can see it now he’ll play Sheehan and Cullen over the two colwill brothers 100%

Dont see it being unreasonable to go for broke against one of the weakest sides in World football. Belgium put 6 past them away and North Macedonia 4. This time last year even San Marino scored 3 away against them!! So 6 was possible if difficult and should have been the aim. We are no better off now than if we had drawn

Probably have a lot of German, Austrian and Swiss born players with grannies allegedly from Liechtenstein. :D
And the Faroe Islands population is less than Barry apparently and they have won 4 games in their group. A fair few Danish born players in that side I would imagine.

Whilst didn't expect to score six it's not unreasonable to think we would set up to score as many as can considering they've not scored in qualifying group? But in truth we never put real pressure on them.... around 4 shots on target tells you all need to know .....
And 11 man defence is no excuse for the amount of shots as it didn't stop the other 3 sides scoring at least 4 goals against them.

Simples really win Tues we are seeded so play at home 1st game final is random draw for opponent home or away......
Lose or draw we will be in playoffs via nations league finish.... that means away in semi final and against higher ranked team like Italy! Final same random draw for opponent home /away .

Just watched Ireland beat Hungary with last kick of game I do not think we could have done that if we needed to! They simply threw the kitchen sink at them and because they won they are in playoffs ... other thing is why do teams waste time in added time? All teams do it yet as we've seen countless times they concede a goal that's exactly what happened here 5 added mins put two subs on player going down unessessarily result Ireland scored after the 5 mins carma is a bitch .

Unbelievable week for Ireland, beating Portugal at home and then winning in Budapest today.

Portugal and Hungary are better than them, but they showed real passion.

Brilliant to see.

Hate to say it ned but would we beat teams like them playing pedestrian football? Is bellers to rigid in his philosophy of playing from back and keeping possession at expense of going forward? Yes we start with intent but after 15 mins it stops and it reverts to type of football we saw yesterday! Yes we won but what other result could we expect against team 6 places from Bottom of world football rankings?
