Even at our peak in the Euros, they were stronger. The gulf now is huge.

Defended the first two goals badly.

But got to remember we're up against a team who have been in the final of the last two Euros and will go deep in the World Cup next year.

We've allowed them the space to score ned.... but this game will have no bareing on Mondays game

Defending has been awful.

Johnson not helping out Williams against Gordon and Spence is causing huge issues.

It's hard to gaige whether England are that good or we are making them look good? Think it's the latter! As they've not had to work hard to score any of the goals

Marc Guehi booked.

Re: Match Thread " England v Wales "

Bellamy’s got this all wrong, basically playing 1 central midfielder

Should be 4-0 but Watkins misses a sitter and then collides with the post.

I'm just hoping that our boys stay on the bench, don't need any of them picking up a knock for this shambles

Not looking like anywhere near them, and unfortunately this is a pretty strong Welsh team.

They’re carving straight through the press, Wilson is a supervisor in the middle he’s doing a lot of pointing but not picking many up.

Before Moore was at Wrexham he hardly played, the way Bellamy wants us to play simply doesn’t suit him. He’s won flick ons but nobody is getting close.

One positive is we started slow vs Belgium last time out, hopefully this will give them a kick up the ass before the game, and who knows maybe England will go into their game over confident and give Latvia a chance

First shot by Wales in the 43rd minute but it's high and wide by Wilson.

HT: England 3-0 Wales

The good news is that there's only 45 minutes to go.

And we then played it all the way back to our keeper

After getting into England's box for the first time

That was tough but we gave them the 1st goal by not following ball out play.... 2nd goal defender tried to back heal ball away and missed it leaving open goal... 3rd goal simple lack of effort to close saka down... 3 very avoidable goals ....but overall its the wrong formation and we've paid the price

Roy Keane spot on:

"Nobody's doing their job. They look like a lower league team playing a Premier League team in the FA Cup.

They're not doing the basics."

He's right all goals avoidable but we did play as Keane said

Bellamys arrogant and naive set up to attack England is being really exposed tonight. He needs to be more pragmatic sonetimes, realising what players hes against. That said, the Welsh team have shown little application. I know its a friendly but do the basics and win tackles.

No changes for Wales at half time.

Rashford on for Watkins for England.

Rogers hits the bar.

The lack of effort in closing down by Wilson and Johnson is very poor.
Watching Wilsons complete lack of effort is like watching a white Callum Robinson!!!! :banghead: :banghead:

Bellamy may aswell give the youth a run out.

Re: Match Thread " England v Wales "

James, Mepham, Sheehan and Kpakio on

Wilson, Davies, Ampadu and Williams off

Re: Match Thread " England v Wales "

I don't understand Bellamy sometimes 3-0 down he brings sheehan on and what he sees in Cullen I don't understand absolute ineffective as a number 10 just no creative ability whatsoever

England subs.

Gibbs-White, Bowen, Loftus-Cheek and Henderson on

Rice, Anderson, Rogers and Saka off

Great to see kpakio get his chance

I don’t think it was that much of an attacking set up. We didn’t have 1 shot in the first half did we? the players just Havnt turned up and look like they don’t know where to position themselves. Defending is abysmal.
