No I don't agree with using that word, and the poster has rightly gone back on that. I used that word a couple of months ago and admitted I was out of order doing it.

But I'm saying I agree with the general point.

I am too mate.
In Corfu atm mate and the bar manager in our hotel is a massive Panathanaikos fan. We were talking at length about Siopis who now plays for them. Anyway, he’s gonna put the city game on in hotel on Saturday. He’s putting it on the timetable of matches on Saturday and he’s agreed to put it on top of the list above the prem games :bluescarf:

Nope! This was a simple thread, created after some Bluebird suporter(s) thought it was ‘okay’ to call an opposition player a ‘paedo’ just for being in front of them!

There are/should be ‘limits’ on such calls, and this one way passed that ‘stop’ line!

Interesting to note, no offence was taken at the chants/interactions that followed, so it goes to show that it’s not down to a lack of humour when it’s done in the right way! :ayatollah:

It's quite funny really.

Anyone who's offended by something is suddenly "woke". Which is totally wrong but sums up the backwards view of some people.

Calling someone a paedo as a "joke" is not acceptable. In the same way racist abuse is not acceptable.

And let's stop this "back in the day there were no issues with stuff like this".

Because back in the day many people turned a blind eye to what people like Savile were doing.

Much rather caution than have people like that in a prominent position.

But also back in the day people were not offended by words as we were taught not to be,
also we were taught to be humble in defeat not angry back in the day,
we could be just as angry as today for certain things, peado was not a word heard or used but if someone was a called a rapist,
you would have to be correct to call someone that.
