I think a lot is being made about the 14 that have left, the squad was too big and of the 14 who've gone it's only Odowda who I think is a miss.

Ralls and Ramsey both injury prone and wouldn't be able to play how we are currently.

We 100% need a few more bodies in, but to bring in the quality needed to improve the squad with a shoestring budget is going to be almost impossible, Tan and the board takes the blame for that.

We shouldn't be signing anyone who doesn't fit in with the style we are playing just for the sake of signing someone.

IMO - we are waiting to see if Robinson, Chambers or Willock can find another club. None of those players are marquee names for championship clubs, but they may be good squad additions so this is transfer deadline day stuff, then we can go after bigger names ourselves.
If we can't shift them, then I guess it will be one or two unknown kids from Premier Academies.

Taking into account the fact we have a settled formation and style of play. Here is our current squad.

Gk- Trott, Turber, Alnwick

RB- Kpakio, NG

LB- Bagan,

CB- Fish, Lawlor, Chambers, Daland

CM- Colwill, Colwill, Turnbull, Wintle, King, Robertson, Mafico

Wing- Davies, Tanner, Ashford, Willock, Nyakuhwa

CF- Salech, Robinson

Could definitely do with a couple of players for sure. A left back would be helpful. I think we would miss Ruben a lot if he was out of the team. I’m hoping Robertson will be back and firing soon. If Robertson left we definitely need a new centre midfielder who can create. If I was being really greedy I’d have another striker too.

When I asked the question about 2 weeks ago and before I was jumped onby a lot of posters with every excuse under the sun and be patient it's because this and that bla bla bla they seem to have all gone very quite .

Gone quiet cos we are bored of you pal.

Is that the best you can come up PAL ffs.

It’s the same constantly. People reply wait until the transfer window closes and yet every day you (or others) post about the ‘quality’ incoming.

You will be the first to have a pop if players are signed who then disrupt the harmony and momentum we currently have.

Keep writing your thoughts monty , the majority of us agree with you
And you have a lot of footballing knowledge , we have every right to be very concerned

That's as maybe Monty but obviously none of the players they've signed are League 1 "quality"

;)

Cannot say they are not trying and are needed there.

I do agree with this.

But also understand the frustrations from others. I've been patient but time is now running out.

I've always said I'd prefer a small squad, but we do need 3 or 4. No more than that.

Yes I understand the frustrations and as the window gets closer to finishing it's only going to get worse, but the qualities we are looking for will be hard to come by.

How many players are available for FREE (f**k off Tan) that are calm on the ball and energetic enough to play the high press? At a guess I'd say none.

As for loans, we would have more of a chance there, but clubs may not be willing to let them leave yet.

I'm sure BBM would love a pot of money he could use to buy players but it's clear Tan is giving him nothing.

Agree that we need 3 or 4 more bodies but they must be able to play the style BBM is looking to play.

Yes you're right but we have to be realistic in our aims - we are a League 1 team. We are not going to get the right quality Premier League or Championship players to come to us when, if they're that good, they'll be important members of the squad where they are now.

Also it seems that Tan is unwilling to pay any loan fees or contribute to wages which can't be helping.

If you told me last season that our players would be able to play a possession based game and look comfortable on the ball I would have laughed at the suggestion yet in a short time, BBM has apparently managed to do that.

How about we lower our sights just a bit, get a few solid League 1 performers in (there must be some about) and if BBM is the coaching wizard some believe him to be, let him mould the players to how he wants to play in the same way he's done with last season's squad?

This is one seriously bizarre transfer window.

Just sooooooooooo quiet.

I'm checking the bbc sports transfers section everyday and teams around us, in the division above (Welsh clubs especially) and in the division below are all busy.

But not a dickie bird with us, no gossip, no whispers, just nothingness.

Very very strange.
