Feel for him but he's not good enough. It was the right call to hook him

Strong decision, arguably won us the game. Mafico will come again.

I was very proud of the fans' reaction.

Totally agree a young kid who will only learn he has great future it is a diffcult position he played in and it was a good manager who praises him.

Yeah the fans reaction was great. Big up to Robinson as well who went running up to him and gave him a hug.

I think BBM's comments after the match say a lot about Mafico.

He didn't hold him out to dry. Instead said it's not his usual position and praised him.

Good management.

Saw this, was brilliant all around, did mafico do the fist pump to celebrate at the end of the game, couldn't tell if it was him from family stand

Majority of his football he's played in CM but we're stacked in that position with King, Robertson still to come in. He could be one of those players that could really benefit with a full season on loan in League 2.

I wondered how long it would take someone on here to have a pop at one of our players :banghead:

Wonder why the manager put him in that position where he was played in an unfamiliar role?

Is Giles injured?

Possible.

Bagin was not feeling well after the Swindon game and Mafico was our best choice at the time. It simple did not work out and we were forced to bringing on a 50% Bagan.

Imagine if Riza had done it.

Would Riza have taken him off?

Not sure.

Wonder who else was thought of for left back. Kpakio with Chambers right back?

Nobody as stated the obvious and that Rotherham targeted him as it was his debut and that's what clubs do! He didn't handle it to brilliantly but he will learn and get advice how to manage the pressure of being a target for more experienced players from opposition

"I was just concerned that he was walking a tightrope after the yellow card," Barry-Murphy explained.
"He is a brilliant player. He is an elite number six and when you see him play there you will see how good he is. He is a brilliant prospect for the club.” Could have had a second yellow after another tackle bbm took him off as another foul and he would have seen red

I don’t agree that he’s “not good enough.” He’s a real talent, and BBM made the right call in protecting him. He was up against two very good players and was being targeted by Kelly, who was trying to get him into trouble. BBM explained in his interview that this was the reason for taking him off, and that’s just smart management. At only 18, he’s already shown glimpses of real quality, and I’ve no doubt we’ll be seeing plenty more of him in the future — his potential is huge.

I was probably a bit harsh by saying he was out of his depth, going forward he was doing alright.

I didn't know much about him either. Wasn't until the manager's post match comments that I realised he's not a natural LB, but a six.

I think the fans were brilliant by giving him a standing ovation and the manager handled it in the right way with his post match comments.
