Yes let’s all lie and say it’s all positive

So many fans burying their heads in the sand, either because they don't want to believe the shit way we are being run or because they hope it will all turn out well in the end........ they are in for a shock!

And others are desperate to talk us down 24/7. It's bizarre.

All the neutrals, the bookies, the media etc have us down to do well.

I've said it before but I think some fans are so obsessed with Tan that they can't bring themselves to be positive about the team.

I want Tan out too, but I can also see the positive signs with the team - same goes for the majority of our fanbase from what I've seen.

Support the team, not the regime has always been my approach.

I think there is confusion. It s either negative posting or its Neds over the top enthusiam, I am sorry Ned I don't mean anything derogation... I applaud your enthusiasm but there is a middle ground.... called realism and I for one will wait til 12 games before I hail BBM the Messiah or another inexperienced manager brougt in by Tan

And your last couple of words is the key "by Tan".

If any new owner had come in and appointed BBM then nobody would have an issue.

I want Tan out but some people are letting him live rent free in their heads and won't support any manager that comes in while he's around.

So I'll say it again - I support the team, not the regime.

Re: Negativity

Wed Aug 13, 2025 7:52 pm

I know pre season doesn't really count but we are unbeaten since bbm came in that's 9 pre season games 2 league 1 games and a carabao Cup game, considering he's moved out so many players and only bought in a keeper I'd say he's doing pretty damn good, a lot better than many of you believed

He has no control on what is going on in the background he can only control what's going on on the pitch and so far so good

I still believe we got lucky with bbm and still believe he will get us top 6 despite the clowns running the club trying there best to make things as difficult as possible

Re: Negativity

Wed Aug 13, 2025 8:01 pm

well said, while I'm far from being a tan lover I am addicted to ccfc. unbeaten so far under bbm yet still people negative. also I agree the port vale performance wasn't great but measure it against the performances under bullit and riza and see how far we've come with youngsters.

The main problem is Tan has recruited experienced manager after inexperienced manager and they have all failed with the exception of Slade who succeeded in doing what he was brought in to do. We are tuned in to believe this trend will continue because it always has under Tan.

I personally think BBM would have been a good recruitment under a different owner because he would have been allowed to pick the team he wants, make subs when he wants instead of doing what he's told by his boss.

Monty can I ask a genuine question mate?

What did you want from the first two league games? We have 4/6 points. We played some good football against posh, granted we played poorly against vale but we still have 4 points.

Just to add I agree the way the club is being run is a shambles but we have time to make the necessary signings to help with the squad.

Just want your view on what we should’ve done in our first two games? 6points? Not to concede etc?

I was buzzing for 1st game enjoyed every bit of it waving my city flag, 2nd game drove up to port vale very positive along with the other 2,200 we where overun 1 shot on goal, from us all the positivity of that first game went out the window and the fans around me were a lot worse than me perhaps they are not on this forum , and the booing which I did not join in with but it was a completely different team approach ,we where torn apart and if it was not for vale poor finishing we could have lost 4 nil they hit the woodwork murphy set us up to defend and with chambers at the back he completely changed how we played slow ponderious no press whatsoever, this is what was so frustrating it was a fourth division team vale and we where been turned over in all departments.
Last night I was a lot more pleased with our approach so perhaps it was a lesson for murphy just keep playing the attacking game .
Buy my complaints or negativity as some see it is, wrong I am genuinely worried which way the club is going worse transfer window that I can remember.

Little to no mention on this whole forum of Rubins SECOND goal of the season contender free kick, but plenty of moans about 3 absolute waste of money leaving the club. Rubin is the easy target though, isnt he?

"Support the team, not the regime" was the motto. Hmmmm

I think whoever heard that obviously misheard.

What he said was "we need quality and I'm confident we'll get it before the end of the window, but I don't know when."

Then he was asked if it would be before the Thursday press conference and he said:

"No I don't think before Thursday."

Just to clear things up because whoever said that he said that, has misheard.

No that version makes too much sense

That’s a fair assessment of how it’s gone buddy. I agree that it is worrying but do believe BBM will get the right players in. And I believe he is working hard to get players in.

Let’s hope he sets up to play the attacking football again mate, our home games are going to be vital this season.

In an ideal world what sort of player would you be looking for? I know we all can see an experienced centre half is need and chambers pushed forward into CDM.

Would Liam Cooper be someone you’d like to see here, he was horrible c**t when he played against and could be a perfect fit for this type of season.

Re: Negativity

Wed Aug 13, 2025 8:45 pm

This is a tough league not being negative but I doubt we go straight back up, The manager seems to be good the players like him but they are very young my concern is BBM will not get the support from the loonies who run this club and the owner that will cost us.

We get some strong experienced players in then maybe we could give it a go but I fear BBm will not get the support from the idiots that have in recent years taking our club backwards and where we are now

I have no idea who is available but it's obvious what we need and shock horror Shaun morrison agrees with me our defensive coach,
leaders i think he said experienced in this division or championship
but if tan is not backing the manager, murphy should come out like bulut did but then he got sacked for speaking out not just the abysmal start to the season .

I’ll judge once the window is shut, at the moment I’m happy we are on 4 points and not zero points, no matter how we have performed the points are on the board.

I will be positive will be there Saturday singing my head of supporting the manager the team ,
and hoping to see us play like we did against posh and last night,
but chambers is the key to that he gave the goal away last night he had his foot on the ball at port vale slowed the game down made mistakes tippy tappy with the keeper
that's possession football but going nowhere, like bulut and turkey walking football for pensioners.
