They couldn't hit an open barn door , hence the result.

That’s quite patronising that and based on no knowledge of Port Vale.

I just didn’t think they had very much quality on the ball, they didn’t unpick us with skill or clever passes, they were just very competitive and well drilled, but I can’t see them being a force in this league.

I read their forum quite a bit in the run up to the game to see what their fans were thinking and one of their fans said they would have a ‘ticker tape parade’ if they signed some of the players we had playing and not playing..

Some of their play round the box was quite good I thought.

I wonder which players they meant?

This is what one their fans said:

“I don’t get this idea that Cardiff are full of duffers who we will beat. I say they are quite close to Luton as favourites.

They have Calum Chambers, Callum Robertson, Chris Willock, Ollie Tanner and Alex Robertson amongst others who are very talented footballers with vast first team experience at Championship level and above. Still quite young.

If we had any of those at the Vale we would be having a ticker tape parade with a marching band.”

They didn’t know one of the players’ names :D

I’ll drive three of those players to them for their ticker tape parade.
