Best of luck, Calum and best of luck to the Bluebirds. I’ll be there tomorrow.

Sorry but that’s a shocking decision.
Chambers repeatedly destroyed every counter attack last season. Constantly opting to pass either sideways or backwards.
He doesn’t create anything and doesn’t score. Fantastic
Had hoped he’d move on this summer but it looks like no bugger was daft enough to have him.
As for Rubin, despite all his obvious quality and skill, he’s always needed a rocket up his arse as his fitness level is appalling.
How can he be vice captain leading by example and in charge of men when his main flaw has always been his lack of maturity and poor decision making.
Completely nuts.

Very true. Hard to disagree.

Who would you have chosen? Rubin is the fittest in the team.

Wintle might have been better than chambers

I don't think Rubin is a good choice. He is not a natural leader on the pitch and needs to concentrate on improving his performance. Chambers makes sense tho. Let's see how the first game goes :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

You could be right.
I’m sure wintle came top in the captain poll on here. Chambers and Colwill certainly weren’t close.

Found it. The highest vote was for someone we haven’t even signed yet. After that wintle won it by a huge margin even starmer would have been impressed.

I voted for Wintle, there's an argument for either him or Chambers.

I suppose Chambers will probably play more games than Wintle which means it makes more sense for him to be captain.

I wouldn't have chose Rubin as vice captain personally, he's not the natural choice. But maybe they think the extra responsibility will help. We'll see I guess, he'll lead the team today because of Chambers being suspended.

I should explain further that I would give Rubin the freedom to roam freely.
If he’s popping up everywhere, he’ll be a bugger to mark. Putting captain responsibilities on him is a distraction and extra pressure that’s perhaps not needed. Just simply let him do his thing.
Like many on here I would have gone for Wintle (presuming he’s playing) or perhaps Fish.
After watching yesterday’s serving of tripe, we have the players to do well this season. That said, I didn’t think we should have been anywhere near relegation last season. Thanks goes to Riza’s lack of press and crazy substitutions…
