The season we went up under Warnock..Etheridge, Patterson and Mendez Laing probably 3 of our most influential players that year were all signed on the 1st day the window opened

What happened? We got off to a flyer that season that was no coincidence!!

We hadn't just come down from the league above and kept most of the squad, which we have this time.

Totally different circumstances.

Why are the same people quoting panic buying. Isn't t panic buying more akin to more last minute acquisitions just to get them thru the door.
I can understand the concept involving loan signings but, there again if BBM is looking at youngsters at big clubs, these wouldn't necessarily by involved with the first team and the clubs would be looking to loan them out for experience.
I am with the" Need some experience" crowd . This squad is still short of defenders, we are still letting in soft goals to non league and Div 2 team.
We may have been a Champioship side last year but we were the worst and Div 1 is not a pushover. And who is to say if we wait til the end of the window signings will be quality.

BBM identified players with the right profile and now making strong progress

Glad you’re totally relaxed by the situation as then we will be automatically going back up.

It's about having players that can play in the manager's way. That's why he's finding the players with the right profile.

Or do people want 12 club signings that don't fit in again??

You say the keeper has had a lot of loans but that means nothing.

He's been playing in the Danish top tier for one of the biggest clubs and played in Europe last season for them.

I'm pleased that the vast majority of fans understand the situation and are optimistic.


But some have written off BBM from day one and will continue to do so.

Even when we do well, they'll find excuses to criticise him.

I am NOT buying the rhetoric that we have one of the best squads. I recall a similar discussion in January. We are a slow, characterless squad who lack leadership; as demonstrated in our run-in. We need recruits to bolster a (for me) top 10 squad as we stand today.

The difference to last season is we were in the Championship.

Some people only watched the L1 play-offs. Not every team in that league are as good as them.

The majority of this league are terrible.

People can come back to this but I will be shocked if we're not minimum top six at the end of the season.

On Saturday I took the focus on how we played for a while and just watched certain players off the ball, communication, leaders and sad to say we were pretty quiet and lacked leadership, seemed very little communication, goalie very quiet, Chambers seemed more concerned with his hair, Robertson spent the most of the game looking at the floor and looked totally unhappy and the only ones who seemed to have a voice were Robinson, Salech and Lawlor everyone else pretty quiet.

That concerned me and when County upped the pace and physical side we could not match the physicality side, I cant believe that 5 days before our first league game we have no other options in regardless of quality over quantity, its my opinion the should be here and getting bedded in for what is going to be a tough season.

Your last few generic end of post lines aren't applicable to me. I want BBM and the team to do well. A win will definitely settle me. I'll also give it 10 games before I properly form an opinion. I have concerns over the lack of freshness and resolution of some glaring issues this group demonstrated for 40+ games last season, though.

Not sure that’s a good thing.

The players haven’t performed really for three seasons. The ones we signed last season had an awful season to a man (Salech excluded). We won’t really have the confidence.

That’s why I was so big on hiring Des Buckingham. He made players feel ten feet tall. BBM may well have that too. Let’s hope so.

I’m on Worcesters side in respect that I’m happy to wait for some quality players (hopefully) than bring in just mostly crap journey men like in recent years.

He has a clear strategy and I prefer to be patient and not moan because we haven’t brought anyone in on the first day of the window.

I’m also of the opinion that we definitely need at least 3 new players to make any impact on the league and not youngsters!

Nobody has mentioned that we need a new striker for cover for Salech?
I’m not convinced with Davies or Ashford especially with injuries.
Etete is useless and apparently being shown the the door.
Robinson, for me is not an out & out striker.
