Tanner not impressive today

Great chance for City but Tanner fluffs the opportunity with a poor first touch

Hugely impressive first 40 minutes by City though

Nice to see BBM paying a close interest. Think he's done miles than the linesman

HT. City lead 2-1.

Liked that, an improvement on what we've seen so far.

Moving the ball well.

Great press by Robinson and Rubin, two players I've called lazy in the past.

Davies, Turnbull and Lawlor also done well.

I thought he's been a massive threat. Beaten his man everytime too, and been brilliant pressing.

That was very enjoyable and encouraging to watch. High tempo and a strong press. The movement from side to side also good too. We looked far better than QPR. Its only a training match but the evidence of BBMs coaching is really clear. My only nagging doubt is are we still leaky at the back? A quality full back and another centre half needed. Although Lawlor look absolutely class.

For anyone who hasn’t seen much of him I have to re emphasise that Dylan Lawler is a really serious young prospect

If he keeps improving he’s going all the way to the top

Great first half, the energy we are showing is brilliant and I reiterate Lawlor is future Wales captain, his maturity is well beyond his years

He has unbelievable strength for a young kid, holds off senior professionals with ease.

Yes was impressed by both Lawlor & Kpakio in first half. Lawlor is very comfortable on the ball.

Second half starting.

Horvath and Willock on for Turner and Robinson.

True but you can guarantee people would be going mad on here if we were losing 3-0

Encouraging signs whether some like to admit it or not.

That's good to hear. Hopefully BBM is exactly what the youngsters need.

Playing some neat football with clever movement but very poor crossing of ball in middle

Seen some crisp passing To feet and also passing just in front of players to keep their run going. Higher press as well

Early days but there was some promising stuff and it seems we are definitely changing how we play compared to last few seasons

2-2 Ft city played a lot of possession football which is a good thing need to be confident in doing it and fid look lot better than last season

Very good performance today, the result doesn’t show our dominance. If we play like that in the league it's going to be an exciting season.
Certainly looks like Robertson doesn't have a place in this team, and personally can't see how he gets in over Rubin or Turnbull. Lawlor looks like the best prospect we've had coming out of our academy since Ramsey, he's an absolute beast.

Liked what I saw today.

I like the high press still think we have a soft backline not convinced it would hold up against some league one teams who play balls in the air not this passing like prem teams very interesting how we going to set up still jury out on bbm

Thought we looked good today, very dangerous going forward and extremely aggressive out of possession

Thought Wintle played the 6 role perfect today nothing flashy but kept the ball moving

Also rubin must of run miles today fair play

And someone get lawler a five year contract signed ASAP ffs the kid is going all the way to the top
