We need to pump up the atmosphere and that would come with a successful team playing entertaining winning football.
You’re right it’s never ever been a fortress.
Monty is wrong about that but he’s right by his intentions of building a better atmosphere and hopefully bigger attendances.
If Tan leaves then things like the above will improve initially but the only way for better atmosphere is an attractive and winning team.
I’m hopeful BBM can achieve that.
Perhaps I should have dropped the AGAIN to be p.c. might ask the mods to remove it as its no correct.

Just out of interest mate, where would you like to see the away fans moved to? I know everyone says that with the current set up things can’t be changed but I think with new ownership and new ideas we can and must change the current set up to achieve a better atmosphere and banter with the away fans helps to achieve that. I remember the Grange End at Ninian and the close proximity to the away fans made for a much better atmosphere.

Monty,
Fair play to you
You just want to see Passion again and get Our Stadium Rocking.
We have lost so many games their, due to the terrible atmosphere which has helped away Clubs.
f*cking he’ll it’s hard to please some , instead of them backing you and coming up with some ideas, they are looking at Negatives.
Ignore them Monty,
Wish we had more fans like you

yes this is probably the season where we turn a corner and push on and leave all the crap behind us .
Even the forum has been split for years it would be nice if we all came together as one,
and basically turn up at the games be exited and let's enjoy a day at the football again ,
rather than having the grey clouds which have been on our backs since warnock left, let's find laughter and smiling faces at the stadium and let's out sing every team that rocks up at the city stadium this season.

It’s no problem for me it was the other guy nit picking but then again he was correct.
I’m actually right up there with you.
I’m not sure we’ll ever get back to the fortress days of Ninian Park (which were only occasional anyway) as our fan base has changed and modern football has changed but you’re right let’s get the atmosphere as best we can.
Getting rid of Nash would be the best start after (hopefully) Tan goes.

Just re-read your post mate, I meant to say where would you move the family end to? If away fans have to stay where they are I would move the Family End to either the Ninian Stand upper tier or to the Canton Stand and put our more vocal fans right next to the away fans as otherwise I fear that a thousand or more away fans will outsing us and that will be downright awful and embarrassing!

Nothing has actually been confirmed yet.
No true, and BBM is untested so far, but even so I'm starting to get more optimistic about the season and the takeover, let's keep the faith

We've had a few seasons of negativity, let's enjoy the positivity, while it lasts, and hopefully gathers momentum.

Monty,
We are getting NEW OWNERSHIP / A DREAM COME TRUE
SO SURELY THEIR IS NO NEED FOR A DIVIDE?
ONLY A JACK WOULD BE NEGATIVE NOW.
I am so Positive Now

I agree we should get a bumper crowd but I’m sure lots of our fickle fans have already got their new excuses ready

It has been really good.
Wales games it’s proper loud and rocking.
It’s the fans that make it.
We also have this grass is greener view of Ninian Park. Leeds home in the cup remember being amazing, like truly spine tingling amazing but I couldn’t name many more (I started watching 1993).

I agree that it's volume of fans that make it ,like last season at home to swansea that was an atmosphere, I think about 25,000.

That's what annoys me sometimes, fans say there is no atmosphere so that's why they don't go, not perhaps realising that they are causing that by staying away,
if they enjoyed the last home game against swansea they could have that atmosphere every home game, but you have to turn up at the stadium simples.

I get what Monty is saying. Make it a fortress that teams are a little scared to come & play at, no need for the nitpicking over the exact wording he used in the title.

Thank you
Buddy
like I said perhaps i should have dropped the wording "once again" to be P.C.

I have to agree with Monty and there are many examples of clubs achieving crowds of 25000+ in the 3rd tier
From my part I have used the lacklustre football and the Wayne Nash Match day experience to stay in Wigan and watch it on the TV or laptop.
But clearly, if Annis, and maybe others, can fly in to watch city I should make more of an effort and i would do if we have new owners and a better match day experience

Do you not feel its a case of being able to walk before we run.
Isn't reality that fans have fallen out of love with Cardiff City FC !.
The main contributors for this are:
* Tan.
* Awful football style.
* To many 12.30pm kick offs.
* A stadium manager that's more interested in the away fans match day experience than the home fans.
The possibility of Tan going will automatically put 1,000s onto our attendance.
If new owners put money into the club, good manager, good transfer kitty, that will put 1,000s onto our attendance.
12.30pm kick offs will continue to affect attendance, atmosphere, as we're hoping to be out of this league, this time next year.
Don't get me wrong, as fans who attend matches its up to us to make a great atmosphere, but let's be realistic in terms of where we are currently, league 1, no investment in the team ( so far ), no new owner ( so far ).
Not a lot is going to change this season, if new owners come in, that will take time, this transfer window will be closed before that will happen.
January transfer window always a lottery, if your chasing promotion you gamble, if your in the thick of a relegation battle you gamble, otherwise you don't waste your money.
Hopefully new owners, good manager, decent transfer kitty available thats spent on quality, then its over to us to make the ground a fortress.....roll on next season

Disagree not a lot will change are you for real?
If tans gone it's party time thousands will return the feel good factor would be overwhelming ,have you not read the forum for the past few years and seen the demos etc, and with new owners to boot willing to splash the cash .
Maybe not straight away but we all know this would be coming down the road.
I personally have not been this exited since we where promoted with neil

I agree with this.
If we are winning and remain at the top of the league for a bit the crowds will increase but it won’t happen just because Tan goes.
There aren’t as many fans who don’t go because of Tan who don’t go because we are losing. It’s not even close.

MontyBlue,
I am for real,
The point I was trying to make was that due to timing, if we did see a succesful takeover how much difference is it likely to make to this season ?. I for one do not see enough that would add thousands to our home attendance.
I agree existing season ticket holders will be over the moon to see Tan goes, however, I'm not convinced that those who have walked away for whatever reason will automatically come back without seeing significant investment in the first team.
I have read this forum, but let's be truly honest here, its often a few voices making a lot of comments on here, often arguing amongst themselves, with personal axes to grind.
With regards protests, what have they actually achieved, have they been well supported, do they represent the many, or just the few.
Like you, I'm excited for this season, however, I'm a little more realistic with regards what's in scope for this seaon
