Hmmm.

Sadly some wanted Southend to beat us so they could slate BBM.

They're pathetic.

Yeovil are well drilled, going past us on both flanks and easily playing through the middle of us.

We are giving a lot of effort, but little guile. We do not seem to know a plan as to how to play the game or stop Yeovil from playing.

Plenty more goals here maybe for both teams.

Why oh why oh why is BBM not here? The kids are all he is being given and if he can't run the rule o er them then what can we expect this season??

Why would he be in charge of the u21 ? .

Have to agree with you Monty.
I would have expected him to have been there tonight as kids are his bread and butter. I take Worcester point he chosen his players from the u21 so does that mean the others now have no chance? He didn’t give them much chance to show him what they can do. Which is slightly ironic as the new manager needs a chance to show us what he can do over at least 10 games. And if we would be called pathetic if we gave him the same chance he’s given the kids.
All that said maybe he was negotiating with someone who knows.
It really isn’t the end of the world he didn’t go, it just align with his mantra.

I have to say, and I’ve received a bit over the weekend and witnessed it a fair bit a lot of people reduce to insults when others cast a different opinions to they own. Is it really necessary reminds me of the clown at the top of our tree, and his silly I’m never wrong attitude. (Tan)

I agree.

I can't find any evidence of me wanting City to lose. No evidence of me saying anything whatsoever about the Southend game and, I'm still waiting to see which part of my post was me being 'desperate to write him off'.

Seems if you disagree, you cue an absolute pile on. It's a shame because a forum should be a place where people can debate respectfully and can agree to disagree without being called pathetic.

The more tenuous the whinges, the less impactful the real one becomes. People will zone out, and you lose them.

There is a weird narrative that "Tan out" and BBM/CCFC doing well are incompatible. Continue this, and the first loses support.

He'll probably watch the edited tape his analysts give him, but we still have a big first-team squad. He has a team and needs to trust them

Have to agree with Monty too.
Any difference of opinion is slated.

Almost fanatically defending BBM. When no one is really attacking.

I hope he does really well.
None of us is in a position to knock or idolise.
To do so would be blind….

Just support the fella and the team on the pitch

Allan I look it as a massive compliment to BBM as for people to be so surprised disappointed that he wasn’t at the game speaks volumes of high highly they think of him and how much belief they have in him. No one would have cared wheter or not our last few manages would have been there or not, but this guy has bought his mantra to the club and we bought in to it and look to him to save us.
It is a massive compliment to the guy.

He can see videos can't he, to be fair his workload at the moment is massive; he's just been away and will have to catch up on targets, players to sell, and possibly info on the future owners of the club. It's understandable that he's not there in person.

I'm sick to death of it Allan, driving me mad that some are so determined to talk ourselves down.

I've moderated this forum for a long time and I'm very good at it but tonight I'll decide whether I should bother anymore.

Over the years I've been on here and the one recurring theme as seen me criticising people who constantly run club down on absolutely everything they do... if there was a positive and negative side to something they will always choose to extenuate the negative.. other cannot wait to bash club even when it's not their fault I've criticised club but only when it's nessasary .. ... and your right some of the complaints can only be described as pathetic! And totally not justified... and your right be conspicuous by their silence if /when they're proved wrong

He literally just got back from Spain :banghead:

Give the man a break. I’m sure he will be watching some games in future or will review any game tape
If needed.

His job is the first team and it’s already loaded with young players.

Remember, you’re all banging on about needing experience yet you want us to poach more youngsters? Make up your mind.

Definitely seems to be a negative agenda here. Could blame Tan for dividing us all? Something isn’t right with our fans of late.

That's not true Annis.

The real U21s were in Spain.

None of these will be first team players, it's pathetic and sad how some cuntish fans are going on about this.

Desperate to talk the manager down and it's doing my f*cking head in.

Re: No BBM tonight.

Tue Jul 15, 2025 10:07 pm

Think it’s a poor showing from him really.

Not expecting him to be at the u21s all throughout the season, but surely it would have been a good opportunity to oversee some game time and if there’s anyone else who could’ve forced their way into his first team pre-season training.

Re: No BBM tonight.

Tue Jul 15, 2025 10:20 pm

BBM had already picked those u21,s he believed were ready for potential first team action and took them to Spain

Then whilst out there he called in 3 more from the u21,s to see if they could make the step up

BBM has already shown he knows alot about all our 21,s as all the 21,s he's used so far have proved to have been the correct call as none of them have looked out of place

You need to trust in BBM his speciality is working with young players, I'm sure if he thought there was any benefit to him being there tonight he would of been,

Correct.

Unfortunately some people have made a decision to write off any manager that Tan appointed.

I actually think it's sad that some have resorted to that.

Worcester - don’t give up as moderator. You do an excellent job. Everyone just calm down. BBM has just come into the job, been abroad on pre season tour and is just getting to know the players, surroundings, other staff. training facilities etc. Let Purse deal with tonight that’s his job. BBM cannot do everything all at once. Perhaps after a busy schedule he needs some me time and time to think. He might not even had time yet to see his family for a day or so and perhaps look at personal accommodation for his family etc. there are after all so many hours in a day. As previously posted he might be in new player negotiations. Everyone chill.

Klopp doesn't manage a club at the moment.

The point is he's seen the U21 players who are part of the first team now and sees them every day.

The players playing tonight are not going to be first team players.

You are clearly desperate to write off the manager so yes, you are pathetic.

Arteta, Guardiola, Xavi to give you a few more. All heavily involved in the youth set up, all taking in games. But I bow down to your superior football knowledge :D

BBM worked for Pep so he'd have more of an insight that you'd have found by googling.

Pathetic

Struggling to make your point there given all the evidence, but stick to calling people pathetic if it makes you happy.

Just odd.

I haven't written him off, I don't know what else he might be doing, I've simply said that in my opinion he should be there as he gets familiar with his squad. If that's pathetic to you, then you go for it.

Your ‘opinion’ is valid but just that; an ‘opinion

Your assumption that BBM has to be there and by default, is somehow ‘out of order’ is both presumptuous and wrong

Any manager will organise and run his squads as he feels fit; and if he trusts his assistants, that is his prerogative

It’s early days yet, and BBM is working flat out to (a) shape his squad, (b) trying to bring in new players, (c) coach/plan for the season ahead, (d) have a ‘personal’ life, and (e) deal with Vincent Tan

Give the guy a break! I’m sure he will keep an eye on every player at his (potential) disposal and attend games ‘when he sees fit’’

For a so-called ‘newbie’, you’ve not made a great start to your posting career, looking at this and other threads!
