What does age have to do with it?
Can’t I be an old keyboard warrior.
Do you actually have any evidence to back this up that I antagonise people daily? Or do I just have different opinions to you and you can’t handle it?

f**k me, log off and have a word with yourself you plank. What the f**k are you trying to achieve with your cunty replies??

Thanks OP for posting. As a dog LOVER, I hope we see this every year... as opposed to 'Jonesy's' turd posts.

Now now. Calm down. I assumed that any one that has the honour of having a dog would do they best to care for the dog and should be responsible enough to know what to do to care for it to the optimum.
Maybe the the OP was right to post it as appears you weren’t aware and needed this guidance, if that’s correct you shouldn’t be allowed to have one.

What’s with the insults anyway?

Your embarrassing yourself mate. Read the OP again, he clearly states he has seen and approached many dog owners walking their dog in the afternoon in this heat which completely justifies his concern and OP.

You really do crave the attention don't you :laughing5:

The point I was trying to make mate. Is that the people on here are good people people that don’t need to be told basic caring instructions, as the OP himself said it was directed at people here. So why post it?
So to pick up your point is it me craving the attention or is it Jim posting something he doesn’t think is needed for us??
I wish I didn’t bother now if had an idea 4 people were going to get so upset about it, I now feel bad.
I do forget what year it is sometimes and forget how easily offended people are when someone else openly expresses a view or opinion that are different to theirs.

Mike I tell you what is embarrassing is people who threw insults. You won’t see that from me.

Do you know every poster personally?

Trust me there are some idiots on here and as the OP said he's come across many people this week who need reminding about dog safety so why not remind posters too?

People need reminding and hopefully the OP has saved some dogs from needles suffering which is more important than criticising posters for highlighting a very important subject.

I’ve got a Dachshund myself and wouldn’t dream of taking her out during the height of the heat.

But I have seen a lot of people taking their dogs out, when it is way too hot.

I don’t think it’s done intentionally with any bad feeling, but it does show that some owners may be unaware of the risks of doing so.

There is definitely no harm in someone posting something that can educate, and potentially stop any further dogs suffering.

People SHOULD know though.

Wrong. You continue to embarrass yourself.

I clearly stated, in one of my replies to you, that I had NOT aimed it at members of this board. That it was a generalisation. A rant if you will, as indicated in my OP, where I stated rant over.

Your knobbish replies to all and sundry clearly indicate a lacking somewhere along the line, of what it's not immediately clear.

I suggest you now shut up, there's a good chap.

Now now. Why the insults? Just because I have a different view to you? Or something deeper.
Why couldn’t you reply some thing like. You stated your opinion and I disagree with it and I stand by that my post is worthy and beneficial to some.
Much better than behaving like you have. You’ve disagreed with peoples opinions on here and you not been abused. Such a shame.

But if it wasn’t directed at us why why the shouty capitals and the instructions. If it wasn’t a rant why not say I can’t belive how many people I’ve seen walking the dogs in the height of the heat. Which you didn’t.
I actually have agreed with you that it turns out to be a worthy post by some of the replies here that they are not knowledgeable. Don’t see what you problem is to be honest.

Okay, let’s cool this down please, fella. The weather is hot enough and we don’t need things heated up any more than they already are

The OP made an appeal for people to think about their dogs (and other pets) to be considered during the current hot spell. That is not unreasonable, is practical, caring, shows concern for our pets, and is a very good reminder that our animals really do suffer under certain conditions. I commend him for that, and it appears others do, too!

Just consider the effect your wording can have and I’m sure we all will move on quickly :ayatollah:
