Think that's completely wrong.

BBM has already said that despite all the world class coaches he worked with at Man City, Riley is the best he's seen.

I want Tan out too but I'm not going to slate a manager or his coaches before they get a chance.

It is also imperative that the manager works with people he knows.

So yes I'm very pleased with this outcome.

Different Opinions Yet again Ned all the last managers for years.

Let’s hope I’m finally wrong.

I stand Strongly but it.

I agree to work with people you know, BUT ROCHDALE ???

It’s a BIG NO

TAN OUT OUT OUT

I'd take BBM every day over attention seeking, pathetic and awful football from Nathan Jones.

Hopefully our fans will wake up to football in 2025 soon and see this is the right sort of appointment.

I don't think Tan out should have anything to do with supporting the manager. I think every manager should be given a fair chance.

But those already writing him off are showing they can't be objective while Tan is around, I find that sad because that's like letting Tan win.

Probably best for you, we don't want to hear you saying you'd sell the whole squad again.

I'd much rather him work with his tried and trusted colleagues than being given club staff to try and make it work. BBM spoke really well again today in his interview to club TV. Looking forward to seeing how things go

Time to start to get the work started - Players needed to get the coaching started ;)

Positive news yet doom and gloom in the replies.

I’ve always said, a manager needs coaches and back room staff that fits the style and philosophy. We haven’t had this for years, and that is always going to set up to fail.

It’s down to BBM to get the coaching right and for the board to back him.

After watching the training videos that were put out today I'm even more confident that we're in for an exciting season

Hearing BBM screaming break the lines faster faster tells me there won't be much tippy tappy sideways passing and speed through the transitions will be the focus

You could see riza was a car crash waiting to happen hopping about from formation to formation like a 12 year old on championship manager

BBM is the total opposite, he has a way he likes to play and trusts in it

We just need the clown tan to stay in the background stop meddling in team affairs and let BBM and his team do there jobs, will tan stay quiet, I won't hold my breath

So what manager wouldn’t have been a gamble?

One who had a previous promotion would have been far less of a gamble than one who only has a relegation from League one to his Managerial name.

We all knew Dave Jones and Warnock were likely to succeed, and that Trollope, Hudson, and Riza were more likely to fail.

I'll give him my support, though, I have too; it's him who they took a couple of months to select, but there is no denying it's another massive gamble.

Exactly how I feel Mark.

I will fully support him.

But let’s be honest as youngsters is Nothing to get excited about at this moment in time.

The same ones said the same about Omer and went further saying he will take us to the Premiership, this one will probably win it.

On a set note. I fully bank him for 12 games and we can see where he has taken us then.

He will have had about 6 Friendlies, 2 / 3 Cup games and 12 League Games.

While Tan remains we will not move forward.

I have a similar view as you The only hope I have is that in a few cases in sport it has worked out well I remember playing against Nick Nurse ( basketball ) and his team in Derby He coached them and we are talking Div 2 of British Basketball In world terms not the highest level at all Year later he wins the NBA championship as coach with a few associates he picked up along the way
I have seen good coaches fail because they just don’t have the players and bad coaches who have better players outwardly looking a success.
Let’s hope for all of us we have a success but we will know soon enough

I have absolutely no idea how this season is going to go, pretty much the same with Bulut and Riza, it was not inspiring to think weve got a good chance here but only time will tell. I hope BBM can turn the footballing side of things around for us. The business side well that's an ongoing saga who knows how long it will go on.

I will give my 100% support to the team throughout the season no matter what happens or where we are in the table. :bluebird:

Re: Full coaching staff confirmed

One of the problems I have is that posters are saying yes, but he had inferior players when he had Rochdale relegated, but according to their fans, this was not so, as the post below from the Rochdale site says

I’ve been trying to inform some Cardiff fans on Twitter what they’re in for but they don’t want to
acknowledge what they have in store.
I went back to look at the squad we had and I’m annoyed all over again. This wasn’t a group of hopeless mugs BBM was dealing with but players who’ve gone on to have decent careers.

Players from our 20/21 squad who’ve gone on to play in the Prem:
Gavin Bazunu
Gabriel Osho

Championship:
Oli Rathbone
Matty Lund
Jake Beesley
Haydon Roberts
Stephen Humphrys
Conor Shaughnessy
Kwadwo Baah
Fabio Tavares

League One:
Aaron Morley
Eoghan O'Connell (will be in the Championship next season with Wrexham)
Ryan McLaughlin
Jay Lynch
Conor Grant
Tolaji Bola

This team was absolutely good enough to stay up and BBM completed fooked it.

Let's say tan leaves, Bale and his gang come in... will they keep BBM? You'd hope so if hes doing well... but I get the feeling people will be hoping they get rid of bbm because he wasn't there choice!

I think things are slowly happening behind the scenes and I do think we are further along in negotiations than what is leaked (i probably am wrong mind)

BBM wasn't my choice but im willing to give him 10 games.. i think he will suprise a fair few people. It may put a smile on 1 or 2 people's faces!

But that being said, Buckingham was touted as a possibility - previously promoted from League One, and people were saying he was inexperienced, that he had taken them backwards etc etc.

Nathan Jones has played dire football, and has failed at more clubs than he has succeeded.

They both would have been a gamble too as far as I see it.

Come on then, those complaining list what you're looking for in backroom staff. You wont have a clue.

Can you give me a review of, say Malky's background staff, where they were recruited from etc without a google search; unlikely.

I remember alot were waxing lyrical about Richard Shaw on here. Came in and seemingly changed zero.

Have a day off! Applying pressure to background staff is hilarious.

How long till we start critiquing the groundsmen???

This is true! Many praises for him.

And huge praises for the signings every year haha.

Fans aren’t professionals, just have to wait and see.

Let’s hope your right and I hope you are as the last few times it’s been worse than Diabolical and ended all in Disaster

Tans choses virtually mean failure a fact.

Tan is clueless, but I think he’s just chosen based on recommendation.

Which would be ideal, meaning Tan isn’t trying to be the “expert” here.

You’re not wrong with the past decisions have been so bad. There’s nobody with a brain.

However, I do like the direction with BBM. The type of choice and backing a good team would do. But annoyingly, it’s taken outside help and not internal knowledge.

Grass looked great last year and we were played off the park, they should have grown it long and waterlogged it to give us more of a chance with Riza's useless tactics

He looks quite intense and committed and very positive, will it work with our lot (they've got a lot of Managers sacked), time will tell?
