So there it is. A "statement" only given due to the universal bad press he is getting and that's all he cares about.

And it's just a tick box exercise, devoid of any meaning. The empty platitudes won't wash anymore Vincent, we've heard them all before. Your time is more than up.

You said you'd leave us in a better state than you found us. We are now a league 1 club. We are now in a worse state.

Sell before you do even more damage as leopards don't change their spots.

He'll say and do the bare minimum until the Sala case is over. Until it is I fear we've just got to put up with more of the same from the same people.

Very plain response doesn't tell us anything doesn't promise anything either so not sure why people refer to that? The crux of things is who is next manager and what kind of support he has
In coaches? Will it be a man with his team like warnocks or an individual and promote within to help him? Only then can we determine what next season will look like....

Is anyone really surprised at that statement?

Everyone was saying they wanted a statement, but they/we didn't really, what they/we really wanted was for Tan to say that he's selling up & moving on and that is the only statement anyone really wanted & anything else was going to get the reaction this got.

What we got was the usual promises to do better and try harder, we never really expected anything else.

The more I read the Dictators Message, I can see their is NO PLAN AT ALL ALREADY IN PLACE:

So here we go again pretend to interview 30 Managers in the month or so then, put a yes man in place if Tan has the final Say:

Re: BREAKING: " VINCENT TAN SENDS MESSAGE TO CARDIFF CITY FA

Tan needs to recognise that the main reason for our demise over the last 3 years, culminating in our relegation is purley down to the failed executive/ management structure and their very poor decision making.

We all understand that relegation will cost the club / Tan a considerable amount of lost revenue.

If Tan is serious about getting the club back into the championship next season this has to be addressed first and foremost.

Tan cannot continue be the sole decision maker going forward as its widely assumed by us as fans.

Dalman & Choo need to be relieved of their roles, replaced with a full time chairman & CEO.

A director of football needs to then be appointed.

The transfer committee needs to be disbanded due to its shocking track record.

Then we move onto the subject of appointing a team coach. The new Chairman, CEA and DOF should all be involved in this, with a collective recommendation provided for Tan's sign off.

Then we're at the point of looking at what our squad will be in readiness for pre season.

If the above is not implemented how on earth does Tan expect to gain the trust, support of our fanbase.

In my humble opinion this is what our plan, strategy should be over the coming weeks.....but then what do I know !!!

The sala case is more important to him in September and god knows when that will finish.
Can anyone seriously see tan spending 10 15 20 million like birmingham did to get out of div 1 with a new squad it will be a threadbare team once all the others have left and the odd donkey again from God knows where.
Totally uninspiring statement and we will hear nothing more till whenever.

So, it appears Vinnie is staying in charge of our club.

Any optimism for a quick return to the Championship is already draining away.
Expect a cheap new manager and a few new free or very cheap signings.

Obviously, most of the the few quality players we have will move on and I expect to go into the new season with a team that may compete at league 1 level, but not challenge for promotion.

I expect Mr Tan will see that as progress!

The only way things will change is a complete boycott. Do not renew season tickets and an empty stadium. It is the only way to get through to the dictator.

Why not wait until new manager is in place instead of rehashing same complaints and moans made previously? Whilst Don't expect anything exciting to happen pigs can fly if put a rocket up their arse! Relegation maybe that rocket? :laughing6:

No.

This ‘wait and see’ from fans is perpetuating the toxicity
It’s divisive….

The man has run the soul out of the club.
His tenure has lost 1000s of fans already.

We can’t afford to keep him in reality….

What cab you say .
Shuv that where the sun don't shine

Or

Ok thanks for making your position clear .

Time will tell which comment is right .

We are all held to ransom really .He puts the money in so he has a massive say .No body else is adding money so we all find ourselves stuck wanting our beloved team to succeed with an owner that's made so many wrong decisions and ultimately cost us .
You get some that are so desperate for us to succeed that the statement will be welcomed .
.
He's damnd if he speaks and damnd if he doesn't.

One thing every one needs to remember is who makes all the decisions all of them .
This club could be huge with the right people behind it .
We have a wealthy owner something we all wanted but he doesn't no his arss from his elbow.

Only time will tell what comes of the review and what staff he means .

What I do no is he has a chance to make the changes we can all see and correct his mistakes.

For me I want to trust him but I just don't one bit

I totally agree. However football is like a drug to many loyal fans who could not stay away even if they fell out of the first four English league system.
As a result, people will keep funding Tan's great plan! :banghead:

Yes but not a proper businessman. He has accumulated his wealth by buying and then selling franchises. As far as I can see he has never built a business from scratch, has never really done anything where he can say, 'This was my company, my idea, my baby' - he is a chancer, a gambler if you will, but only prepared to gamble on the lottery of franchises, which yes I accept he has to have some sort of nous, or luck, to achieve what he has achieved, but the idea of building a business, in this case a football club, from the ground up without qualified personnel around him, is completely alien to him.

Not doubting that he knows all about buying and selling franchises, but he knows sod all about how a football business operates, but thinks he does, and thats the dangerous part of it all.

Totally agree, the next manager will tell us EXACTLY which way Tan is now going. Appoint a recognised, experienced or up and coming manager on a decent contract with funds available then he has realised his mistakes, but if he goes down the Darren Purse, or any cheap internal appointment road then we will be just about finished. Going by his of horrendous choices of late i'm putting £20 on the chuckle brothers as our next management team.

I would put £50 on them being joint managers? And next manager with a statement from him will definitely tell us what tan is thinking and approach to the season? Maybe it wil be dalman making decisions after tans balls up!

I dislike him a lot, he knows nothing about football, but if buying and selling franchises was that simple then we would all be filthy rich.
