Re: Riza has done what other managers couldn't

Twice last night, Salech dropped deep, won the header and no-one was further advanced. That winds me up. We need at least 1 camped up top, and if Salech has a skill of winning those battles, then an Ashford/pace beyond is a must.

All 11 back too often, at home, is poor tactics in my opinion.

We actually agree on something!

We’ve not had a decent target man upfront for a long time who can win the duels and bring others into play.

Now that we have, we need to play to his strengths.

Ashford playing off of him with his pace to get us on the front foot

This!

The determination to big up Riza on this forum is bizarre, considering we're 4th from bottom. Yes we're better since he arrived, but fly shit. And if our relative scale is Bulut, then we're doomed.

I'm somewhere in the middle regards Riza, but my crude evaluation is, now that we have added some quality and some have returned; we have the players to get us out of this mess. The second half showed that last night where we out-played one of the 'big 4' this season. Riza needs to get the tactics right... that's on him.

We have made great progress since he took charge, five points clear of the bottom three.

With the right signings in the summer, he will take us right up this league.

I hope it won't be a case of fans not realising how good they had it with Riza until he's gone.

I can't tell if you’re on a wind up, related to Riza or just love an underdog?

He may have done okay compared to Bulut, but the way you big him up and refuse any criticism towards him is way over the top.

I hope so, I'm just not as impressed as you (but also not as dead against as others). All opinions, isn't it.
