A forum for all things Cardiff City

The biggest statement any football fan can make, if they’re not happy with the ownership is to stop funding it. People can still support the Club without buying season tickets and merchandise from the Club shop. This should be done on mass, hit them where it hurts in the pocket.
I’m sorry but if you do both of the above and moan and groan season after season you’re just as bad.

Problem is it’s expensive pastime now
We are not being entertained- these players simply don’t care

I 1,000% agree.
I will always Support My Club No Matter What.
I’ve always said it The Regime I don’t Support.
Absolutely agree. Love the club and always will, hate the fools at the top but (hopefully) I’ll be here with my season ticket and full support long after they’ve gone.

I have supported City 55 years and have seen Managers and Chairman come and go. Been there when our home crowds were barely 2000 and seen us in all four divisions. I support the Bluebirds have the badge tattooed on my arm and your Club is for life through the good and bad times.
This is certainly a bad time but we have had far worse and if it wasn't for Carl Dale's goals we could have finished bottom of the football league and potentially gone out of the football league completely. However we are still here and competing to stay in the Championship one of the most difficult and competitive leagues in Europe!
We are not down yet and has supporters all we can do is get behind the 11 players who go out on that pitch. Am I optimistic that we will stay up? Based on last night's performance then No however if the worse happens and we go down I will be there next season. Because that's what I true supporter does though thick and thin until the day I die

Don’t forget the years under Alan Durban / Tony Clemo mate!

I was also a supporter of Cardiff for many years up until the end of last season. But my days are over, wasting money on poor performances with no atmosphere at the ground.
I watched last nights trash in my local pub on the one small screen by myself. The other big screens had the Liverpool match on with loads of guys watching and no one else interested in Cardiff City.
It's sad to see a great club like Cardiff in such a bad state but it is what it is. My days as a supporter are over, but it's a shame for the diminishing loyal fans who insist on attending no matter what the results.
I simply can't gave any optimism for the club over the next few years!

Will be renuing but for awhile been wondering is it worth effort to go to games? At home you tend to expect us to win but this season its hope you win thats not enjoyable....last night beside the performance with no prior notice m4 closed @ Cardiff West..... m4 closed @ Swansea ...and a48 diversion route closed at Cowbridge... go to games to forget everyday problems not go and add to them?

Jonny I feel your pain , it feels like a chore now to drive down to stadium knowing it will be a dull atmosphere , boring football just nothing to loook forward too
Can’t find any positives for the future

You’re not alone mate, and “we’ve had it worse” isn’t an argument.
Yes I’ve lived through much worse times as a City fan but I was young with no responsibilities. I’m 45 and have many other priorities and things to spend my money on. Cardiff City (which is meant to be a form of entertainment) slips lower and lower down the list every week.

It sure is an argument when people are going around saying "it couldn't get any worse".

Almost every club has put their fans through it , one way or another over the years .
I’ve always said following city is like a bad relationship, you know u should end it but u hang in in the hope things will get better !!
I’ve have and always will support the club despite the owners or managers at the time .
Love football, love city …end of .

Are here we go, we can all make excuses why we can’t go anymore. Our fickle fanbase is why we’ll never be a big club and forever be a “sleeping giant”. Fans walk away, revenue drops, investment reduces accordingly, team gets stuck in a lower division and all those who gave up say “Cardiff are crap, that’s why I don’t go anymore”.
And yes sometimes there are things going on in life that means you can’t go, accepted, but that doesn’t extend to thousands of fans who just want to see a winning team.

Good post and agree with much of that. I can’t say I have the same feelings for the club under the current regime but after so many years of dross before Sam, I live in hope we can rise again
Respect you for you candid post and for stating you ‘
were’ a supporter. That shows you have the courage of your convictions!
