We failed last time because we held on to Bale, Ramsey and Allen for too long when we should have been bringing the kids through.

He’s not good enough for that team now.

He will get injured in the first game also.

WC failed because of pages tactics can't lay blame on 3 players when whole team failed... but would you give up chance of going to WC if had chance? He's not to old yes injuries a problem at moment but all players can have bad run you'll find plenty been out for a many months/year and have another injury 2 weeks after returning it happens... I'm not saying he should get a contract but I believe he won't retire at end season but next season if he continues to miss extended periods of games he may well give up his ambition of WC but not now.

The question you have to ask yourself is this:

Do you think it's acceptable for the highest paid player at the club to be on the payroll for the sole purpose of being an example of young players?

If anybody says yes to that then there's no point even debating it with them.

Seriously now, did you think through a post comparing Miete to Ramsey in relation to Cardiff City? You're fishing for bites at this point. I bet you'd get into a disagreement in a monestary.

At end of day what it shows is clubs can never be sure of anything when sighning players as we know we've had plenty of waste of money sighnings .... premier league club sighned player he played 15mins in cup hes out rest season it happens... what I find disappointing is how fans can right off a player and be disparaging of him particularly a player of rambos standing at club .....he could have gone to far better club than city but chose not to.... and I will be surprised if City don't do deal for next season.....

Immune from criticism no, but he does get a LOT of leeway in my book as he chose to join us rather than a much better team just as he did after he broke his leg playing for Arsenal. I said when he first joined us that he should have probably retired from international football and he certainly shouldn't have been playing as much as Bulut played him. His playing time needed to be much better managed than it was by Bulut, he's not a Sat-Wed-Sat player anymore but that's what he was asked to do & he should have said as much to our manager at the time. Why on earth he was still on the pitch when we were getting hammered with no chance of getting back into the game rather than being taken off & rested is way beyond my thought process & anyone with an ounce of common sense could see that wasn't going to end well.

I said before he come here he had the knowledge but not the legs anymore and would be out more than he's in this season but because he played for Wales people thought he was world class still , he's well past it now with everything but knowledge. total waste of money back then when he comes and still is in my opinion. Exactly that he was gone before we really seen him when he started here before his big move to arsenal which would be there same thing if it was all over again. Sadly like we said he's got the brains still but not the legs and is out five times more than he's in sadly.
