Re: LIVERPOOL CHIEF FEARS ADMINISTRATION

I think there are two types of Liverpool Supporter:

a) Those that are like every other supporter in the country and follow their home team
b) Those who supporter Liverpool, from 200 miles, awat cos there good

Its the 2nd lot I cant be arsed about but its the first lot I really feel sorry for.

I work with many Liverpool Supporters. Many of them support Liverpool Home and Away. Many of them follow Liverpool in Europe. Some of them were even at Hillsborough in 96 - and virtually all of them HATE THE ENGLISH NATIONAL SIDE!

Much as we were brought up on Len Ashurst, Alan Durban, Trips to Aarhus etc and the odd strike on goal from Jeff Hemmerman and John Buchanan they also have their own history.

Their history is not about supporters from 200 miles away loving liverpool because they used to win titles. Their history is about local players, local fans, rivalries across Stanley Park. Trips to Europe. Touching the "This is Anfield" sign. Shankly, Paisley, Hillsborough. Like us a group of supporters who will follow the club through thick and thin.

Listen to the lyrics of "Fields of Anfield Road". To me this encapulates the passion of many of the guys I work with.

Is it right that a group of Americans can simply come in and destroy all that history?

i have supported CARDIFF and LIVERPOOL since i was a kid.

i enjoyed the history of liverpool, local players, working class background of the players and fans.
but all that changed when moore/parry sold out to the yanks and they ruined the tradition.

why are we hoping that another team goes into admin because of the owners actions.
it's not fair on the fans.

i blame sky for all this.
there is too much money at stake these days and club owners are risking the future by paing stupid transfer fees and wages just to compete.

i have said to many friends that i prefered watching/supporting CARDIFF when we were in league 1. smaller crowds yes but the atmosphere was better, the standard of football wasn't world class but they played with passion.

we have gambled everything to get to the promised land.
we have lost our identity, we have gained soulless fans who won't create noise. they don't know any of the traditional songs.
our future relies on an owner who has no affinity to the club( i'm not having a go at VT or TG).

i hope we do not become a chelsea/man utd/man city with their plastic fans/high prices/players only interested in how much they can earn/global branding.
we complain about plastics who have never been to watch the club but that is exactly what we will get if/when we get to the premiership.

back to the original subject, this is why liverpool are in trouble, think about this before you wish admin for another club.

I hate Liverpool more than the other big 4 clubs. All the twats in school who used to give me shit for supporting my local team deserve to see their team fail. The locals who support the red half of merseyside dont deserve it but the plastics deserve misery. The same misery will hopefully be inflicted on the other plastic clubs.

Disagreed with your comment on t other thread, jam, spot on here about t city. Personally, I've never been so disinterested with ccfc, ridsdale and more crucially t pitiful response if so many of our "fans" (not so much those from this site I stress) last season have left a bitter taste in t mouth, whilst t feeling of belonging to t club and having a real connection with fellow fans and t players has long gone for me

i totaly agree with you. i find the plastic scousers are the same people who hate the english on rugby days but other than sitting in a pub watching games don't activly support the teams they love (!)
no real fan deserves their club to go into admin but due to the plastics, the pundits on motd and the press in the 80's i would love to see lfc get in the shit
