Bought 2 season tickets when Bulut arrived.
350 mile round trip from Kettering.
C’mon City

I've been a season ticket holder for 30 years and at the end of last season I decided enough was enough and I would find something else to do on a Saturday. All the positivity of the past few weeks made me cave in and renew last week, looking like a good decision now.

If we get plenty of good results with the goals to match, it won't matter about season ticket sales as the gate attendance will rapidly improve; and hopefully the atmosphere to match it.
If results remain poor to average, maybe those who pay game by game will feel justified in not buying a season ticket.
After all, these new squad members have yet to prove themselves at our club (with the exception of Mr Rambo)

In reality, most of those don't genuinely '
support' those teams. To do that they have to pay money to do so; and I don't think a Sky Sports subscription counts...
Sadly, some people just want to be associated with '
success' (whatever that might be) and roam around accordingly depending on who is 'in vogue' at any time. We've seen it with Leeds (early 70's), Liverpool, (70's and80's), ManUre (90's and 00's)with a sprinkling of Chelski and Newcastle and modernly Man City...

I think we have talked about this on a few occasions.
I have a party trick where I can guess someone's age by the non-local team they support or vice versa I can guess their team given their age.
How come grown men still support the teams they supported as kids purely based on the clubs success at that time.

Postman just delivered my new cards for this season. Moved over to the right of 117 as they are shutting that part of the block this year.

Just shows the damage done by the club, can’t exactly blame fans, even the hardcore ones.
Let’s see how this season plays out and if the club are not going to make rash/knee-jerk decisions.

Agreed the actions of the club haven't helped but we've never been able to consistently pull in the number of fans teams like Derby and Norwich do unless we're in the hunt for promotion. When we're struggling you will see a drop-off in crowds that's not so evident in the aforementioned teams. Only sustained success over a long period might change this but even then, the slightest downturn in results would likely be reflected by lower attendances.

We were on 14K before AR signed on Saturday so 1,300 in 2 working days ain't too bad imo. Let's see what the figure is at the start of the season.

Well said. Unfortunately we just not as well as supported a club as we think we are, we should be doing way more with the catchment area we go but apart from the regular hardcore the rest are happy to pick and choose games for whatever reason which can be expected. The friends from the premier league were just there to see the other teams play which is sad.

You can have the biggest catchment area in the world but our club just doesn't have the history to ever have a big fan base .formed a 124 years ago only played 17 seasons in the top division.last major trophy 96 years ago .not the recipe for attracting big crowds
