I think Lamouchi is over rated by our fans, did he get lucky with the club signing Kaba for him?
This doesn't look good for our owner though. Tan really doesn't seem to have any ambition for us at all, he's playing a dangerous game with relegation so close last season. Maybe Vincent Tan has real bad financial problems or just doesn't care that much anymore
Tue May 16, 2023 11:39 am
Not saying I agree with this as I hoped he would stay but I know some of the posters on here said that Lamouchi wasn’t the one to take us forward long term so stop talking a load of tripe and stop with the agenda as you are an embarrassment to us fans

Michael Flynn incoming

Nathan Jones it is then
Tue May 16, 2023 11:43 am
can we now talk about protesting the ownership of this club ?
Tue May 16, 2023 11:46 am
Maybe Sabri pushed Tan too much, don't forget he does not trust real football managers
Tue May 16, 2023 11:46 am
nathan jones won’t come if sabri wont
awful news
ambition-less club as it stands
so it’s Bamba or Purse given we don’t want to spend.
Season ticket sales will suffer
Real shame.

Let's see who comes in first before running for the pick forks.
I'm not convinced Sabri was the right man for the job anyway and some of his selections we're baffling.
Thank you for keeping us up and let's hope the club have learnt from previous appointments and there is a real plan in place this time.... If not then we're down before a ball is kicked

I'd welcome Nathan Jones as superior to Lamouchi but he's probably too ambitious and outspoken for Tan

The official club twitter statement is getting full on abuse.

Unfortunately i doubt any of it gets relayed back to Tan though

Nathan Jones would be an absolute catastrophe it’s funny to watch him at other clubs go on about how he could have stayed at home and got with a Rhondda girl and had a happy life, not so funny when he’ll be in charge of us

Cardiff wrote in a statement: "Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that Sabri Lamouchi will depart at the conclusion of his current deal," they wrote in a statement.
"Sabri joined the Bluebirds at the end of January 2023, overseeing 18 fixtures, and winning six matches. Cardiff City would like to thank Sabri for his efforts and contribution in helping us secure our place in the Championship for 2023/24 and wish him all the very best for the future.
"The Board of Directors at Cardiff City FC have already begun the process of appointing a new management team."

Looks like my season ticket money can be used elsewhere if this is true.
Thank god I didn't jump in and waste my money on another season at our shambles of a football club!
I will, however, attend any fans protests against Tan which hopefully will take place at some stage.

Absolutely ridiculous decision. He achieved his target, was loved by the fans, robbed of consistency yet again.
This club is going head first into league 1, this appointment has to be right, it has to be Nathan Jones let's be honest, if not then I really don't know.

Can’t help thinking this is a big mistake.
I just don’t see anyone else of a similar quality wanting to take this on.
So we’re back in the realms of someone untested (e.g. Bamba) or not as good (e.g. Nathan Jones).
Both of those could work but are riskier than Lamouchi in my opinion.
Whatever the decision it needs to be made quickly.

I am surprised but then again I'm not because nothing surprises me at Cardiff any more! I was not entirely convinced by Lamouchi because some of his selections and tactics were debatable to say the least. However I would have given him at least a 12 month contract because we need stability!! However before we talk about protests and doom and gloom let's wait to see if the Club has someone lined up??? Although I very much doubt it let's wait and see, but any appointment needs to be quick. In order to give the Manager time to work with the squad and bring in some additions. If However Tan honestly thinks we can promote within and go with the current squad then I'm afraid League 1 beckons!!!

its slightly odd that not keeping a manager whos record here was poor was the tipping point for you

BBC TALKS FAIL WITH TAN:
Sabri Lamouchi leaves Cardiff City after talks with owner Vincent Tan fail
BBC
Tuesday 16th May 2023
Cardiff City are looking for their third new manager in six months after owner Vincent Tan decided not to offer Sabri Lamouchi a new contract.
The 51-year-old joined on a short-term deal in January and ensured the club avoided relegation to League One.
Lamouchi had been open to staying on with chairman Mehmet Dalman saying he had been optimistic the 51-year-old would remain in charge.
But discussions with Tan have ended Lamouchi's time in south Wales.
A Cardiff City statement read: "We can confirm Sabri Lamouchi will depart at the conclusion of his current deal.
"Sabri joined the Bluebirds at the end of January 2023, overseeing 18 fixtures, and winning six matches.
"Cardiff City would like to thank Sabri for his efforts and contribution in helping us secure our place in the Championship for 2023-24 and wish him all the very best for the future.
"The board of directors at Cardiff City FC have already begun the process of appointing a new management team."
It will mean a fourth manager in the space of a year for the Bluebirds who began last season with Steve Morison in charge before Mark Hudson took over in September.
With the team winless in 11 games and one point above the relegation places, Cardiff brought in the former Nottingham Forest boss with the aim of staying up.
The Frenchman oversaw six wins in 18 games to keep Cardiff in the second tier and had said he was ready for talks about leading the side into the new campaign.
Initial discussions with Dalman took place before meetings with the club's Malaysian owner who had the final say on a decision.

Annis It seems he has been offered a job with a different club.
Probably though better wages and money for players
Tue May 16, 2023 12:45 pm
