His stats speak for themselves over the last few games.

Always positive, telling players where to go, great range of successful passing and he makes more interventions than anyone else in our team.

A few stray passes but overall is growing more and more influential as the team grows in confidence.

He sticks to his position that frees up wintle a bit.

Glad the manager is sticking with him... He has been one of the best centre mids in the championship.

I would encourage the naysayers to rewatch the game in full and see what sawyers contributed.

Sabri seems very clever tactically. With two central midfielders against three versus Reading, the manager was encouraging a high defensive line and allowing one of the three central defenders to push forward into midfield.. Usually Ng but also Kipre.

Big test against Norwich though.

As the OP I did take the opportunity to rewatch the game and I'm more than happy to agree that he was excellent on Friday night and played a pivotal role in the win and not just because of the goal.

Part of the frustration shown by my initial post was because like so many fans I was so looking forward to seeing him play for us and felt he was by far the best signing of the summer.

I can remember him absolutely tearing us apart for both Brentford and West Brom but up until Lamouchi arrived I think even the player would have admitted that he'd not had a great season.

If he can keep up the standards shown in the last couple of games I will be absolutely delighted to come on here and admit that I was completely wrong about him!

Fair points davids.. I think its fair to say a lot of players have been disappointing this season... To the point where, as so many have been out of form, it reflects more on our structure, coaching and management, rather than individual players.

People have all kind of views on Morison, but the reality is he wasn't a positive and encouraging manager. I wonder if his approach and man management style sucked the positivity out of us.
