Think we got what we deserved with him. Brilliant on his day; non existent on others.
He made a big impact in such a short time and not all for his antics on the pitch; although that goal and response was/is now legendary and keeps him in supporters minds....
I think Adam LeFondre was the most overrated and ACorn the most underwhelming, although I maintain he wasn't given a fair chance by club or supporters

Remember Mick Burns.. did nothing, same as Keith Robson. Nigel Vaughan also. Ronnie Moore was another.. Greedy for goals was the Echo headline... pigged out at Tranmere instead.
One who never disappointed was Andy Kerr.. no hopes, no expectation.. nothing at all.

Who was that Slovenian striker.. Don't think he played a single game. If my memory serves me correct, he played in an FA Cup defeat at Macclesfield.

Remember the player from Queen’s Park rangers Richard Langley I think that’s his first name he was awful at times our fans turned on him big time

Andrea Ferretti
He was signed from an Italian Club and was promised to be the next big thing - think he made less than a handful of first team appearances over a couple of years.
Sounds familiar to the ‘project’

Has to be Steve (Lethal) Lynex for me.
A regular goal scoring forward with Leicester during the 80's, who also set up many a goal for Gary Lineker.
He joined us in 1988 for 2 years, during which time he only scored twice in 62 appearances.
As time went by, we all called him Lethal Lynex, always expecting him to miss the goal scoring chances!
