Do You Want Warnock Back?

The last time Warnock 'saved us' we had whitt's Guunason Manga Morrison Bennett and it was early October. That was a decent underperforming team. This time we're poor unless Warnock was aloud to bring in 5/6 players I think he'd struggle.

We have Kipre, Allsop, Romeo, Wintle, Rinomhota, Robinson, O’Dowda all of whom are top quality performers at this level and why the manager had to go.

The problem is can these players fit into a Warnock style ?

Robinson is the only one I would class as a top quality championship player.
O Dowda is decent but there's a reason he's spend most of his carrer at mid to bottom half championship clubs. Romeo has jumped between between league 1 and championship Wintle and Alslop aren't young and spend most of there carriers in league 1.
I'm not slagging any of them off and they wouldn't look out of place in a top half team but there not top quality and when mixed with players who are way passed their best (Swayers) or not championship standard you end up with a relegation battle.

I judge on performances and all of those, individually, have been outstanding for virtually the whole season.

If you can’t see that Wintle and Kipre are quality as well as the others then I think you need to remember we’re playing in the Championship not the Premier.

Put it this way, if any of those(plus Davies and Colwill) were up for sale there would be a lot of higher placed Championship clubs bidding for them. That tells you how strong that squad is and how poorly Hudson has managed them.

This squad, quality wise, is arguably better than what Warnock had to play with when he got us up. However, I do wonder whether it’s balanced enough.

Peltier, Bruno, Mozza, Bennett & Connolly Jazz

Whitts, Gunner, Ralls, noone & Kadeem Harris

Pilkington, Gounongbe, Lambert and Zohore.


As bad as our front line was when Warnock arrived, only robinson from this squad would get a game upfront
Wintle wouldn't dislodge Gunnar, Ralls could still run and Whitts was Whitts, maybe O'Dowda on the left flank
Then the only question is would Bruno or Kipre;I'd still go with Bruno because he had a bit more pace but Kipre has been our season.

Warnock got that squad well up the table. This is about finishing 4th from the bottom.

He'll need a centre forward though

Yes , he’s the only manager I think would be able to keep us up the way at the moment with our current squad. If we get warnock I believe we stay up. I think would only be to the end of the season though as the poor guy has retired several times lol

If any manager was coming back I'd rather Dave Jones. Actually I'd love to have him back

I liked Jones but I think he’s been out of the game to long

Neil Warnock 74yrs, We all loved the journey with Neil but it is not the time to go backward.
The right man is there if we just apply common sense for once. "Sparky Hughes" managing at 2nd division Bradford, he's proud Welsh, he's successful, he has more winners' medals than all the entire championship teams put together, managed at the highest level in the premiership and also international level, and would for a sure jump at the chance to be a bluebird, he's won everything in the game, come on Vincent Tan please I beg you, please consider Sparky Hughes. Sparky will know how important putting one over the jack whilst keeping us up will be.

Yes, but only if it's short term as we can't get a decent manager in. A good long term manager has to be the first choice but short if that, NW is the man. If VT goes cheap again I can see the natives being very restless and who can blame them.

Yes, he will keep us up but we need to plan for a new manager at the end of the season

Warnock has enough to work with to get organised and keep us out of trouble.

Appointing a manager of that age has to be accepted as a short term measure though.

Warnock win ratio typically 35%, that would get us to 48 points, add a couple of draws and we'll be over 50 points and we'd be safe...

McGregor not a patch on Allsop.

Bruno and Mozza were class but Warnock insisted on playing Bruno at full back. That was an error. But Kipre is pretty close to being as good as all three of those based on form so far this season.

Wintle would dislodge Gunnarsson and Rinomhota is way better than Ralls as he showed yesterday and against Leeds.

Whitts hardly got a game for Warnock.

Robinson is far and away better and more consistent than Zohore.
