Poor move from the club if true, going to the manager who is retired. Yes he did wonders but that can only last so long plus at his age he probably dont want to be hassled by referees again. So enjoy your retirement Neil. Cardiff should just stick it out now with Hudson, something they did not do with Steve Morison.

Agree with that, Warnock will ruin any skill we do have.
Just keep Hudson IF we drop then he and his staff can hopefully have time to learn their trade in a lower league where imo all good coaches start out.

Well I said over a week ago Tan is ready to try and persuade Warnock to return.
Desperation.

Neil Warnock has hinted he would be interested in taking charge at Portsmouth on a short-term deal following the sacking of Danny Cowley.
The League One club relieved Cowley of his duties earlier this week after a run of one win in 14 games had seen them lose ground in the promotion race.
Cardiff City’s Warnock previous club were favourites to get Warnock back on board, but with the Cardiff board divided over his return, Warnock looks like turning his attention to the League One club.
A number of early contenders have emerged for the vacant job at Fratton Park but some supporters have been calling for Warnock, who holds the record for the most EFL promotions, to come out of retirement and take the reigns.
Neil Warnock:
Speaking to The News, the 74-year-old has hinted that under the right circumstances he would be open to replacing Cowley at Pompey but only on a short-term deal.
He said: “It’s a fabulous club. When I was a visiting manager, I used to get up and shout instructions and the fans behind drowned me out. I couldn’t shout a flipping thing!
“There are a couple of clubs I wish I had the chance to manage and that was one of them. I’ve always got on well with the fans there.
“I don’t know about the job there at the minute, you would have to see if they have already got things sorted out.
“Sometimes I think a short-term appointment at clubs enables them to just take their time and get the right man in place.
“That’s the only thing for me. I couldn’t do it for 2-3 years anyhow, but it depends if they are in a rush and they want to bring somebody in straight away.
“You never know, do you, but I’ve not had any contact with anybody.

It will surely be sorted out. The club had no choice to turn to Warnock.

Its not the case that we need to go back to Warnock. THE KEY TO ALL THIS IS VT TO PUT HIS HAND IN HIS POCKET TO SORT THE SALA AFFAIR OUT NOW. UNLESS WE START STUMPING UP THE MONEY WE ARE GOING TO GO DOWN DOWN AND OUT, START OPENING THAT WALLET OR YOU COULD LOSS YOU THE LOT MORE

Exactly this.
Tan has to cough up the £5m for Sala, then more to pay off Hudson, more to employ a new manager, ideally more to employ a DofFootball and then some money for players.
I fear though that's its too late already.

The Daily Mail report that Warnock, 74, will be sounded out if Vincent Tan decides to oust Hudson from the position. Tan said in an interview in November that the club were happy to make Hudson manager until the end of the season "unless he does badly", meaning the question now is where the owner's threshold for poor results lies.

My biggest problem with Warnock coming back (and it sounds ridiculous) is that we’ll somehow end up in the playoffs which will paper over all of the cracks for a year or two before we’re right back in this situation again or even worse.
Need a clean break I think and that comes with investment. Not even huge amounts, but a few more signings like Robinson for ~£1m here and there and we’d be fine

If he comes, mid-table will be a success, anything above won't matter that will be for the new manager, talk of Rooney but whoever it is it won't be Warnock as that won't Warnock or us, we've been there before.

It's a 'no thank you' from me.
We need a better quality forwards, not necessarily a change in manager and certainly not someone from yester-year.
The current crop of forwards have more than proved they are 'goal-shy'
In other words, we need the embargo lifted (whatever that takes) and give Mark Hudson the chance to bring in some fresh blood.
After all, he inherited the squad that Steve Morison brought to the club and hasn't had the opportunity to bring in anyone himself as yet.
It's not all Hudson's fault that this squad has failed so far this season!

Its a temporary yes from me, but it cant go into next season.
Next season needs to see a new everything, board, manager, players, youth manager and youth structure.

The club is rotten to the core with Tan as the owner. Changing the manager will acheive nothing.

I do agree, but if we are to do anything to save this season it has to be the manager. New players are not permitted, a new ownership this season, as much as is necessary, is highly improbable.
It leaves us the only option but to call in a fire fighter, and Warnock is the best around who is available.

Can see how it will go already. Warnock keeps us up. A lazy decision from the board will extend his contract for another season. We go back to Morrison and Nelson at CB lumping aimless balls forward. Back to square 1.

True that is a concern if the current regime are still on control for 2023/24 season.

Talks are happening with Neil Warnock and it could be done. Warnock back room staff who I know, has told me.

Any change will happen after sundays game i reckon
Then the squad loans could be added, dont think MH will bring in anyone either this week.
