Tonight's Clean sheet and a point won/gained was a good Result - to a team who had Won 4 and Drawn 1 ( Last 5 games HM )

As I posted weeks/months ago - We need to put a set of results together in 5-6 games ...

Another striker is needed to turn Draws into Wins :bluebird:

Richy,

We are being sucked in to a relegation battle and the football is getting worse.

I have started to think Hudson is better than I have given him credit for.

He has shored up the defense and giving players a chance to prove if they are championship grade or not, which i believe is starting to leave us with a very thin squad.

Watters, Ojo , Simpson and Sawyers absence looks deliberate and deserved. In Sawyers case it must be like it was for Blackburn fans when they had Whitts the guy who dominated the championship but best days were well behind him.

We have a poor squad with kids who may make it but not now or those who are not just good enough sprinkled in with 6 or 7 genuine championship players.

Perhaps he is weeding.

I'd say we have improved since world cup.
Look at it this way, unbeaten in 4, 2 clean sheets and 8 points of playoffs.
It's the most solid foundation we've had all season and something to build on.
Still a lot of games to play :bluebird:

Well said mate, I always look at the positives and the positives for me are 4 games unbeaten, 2 clean sheets and we look hard to score against.
Onwards & Upwards :ayatollah:

We lost at home to this team this season, so drawing away has to be an improvement

Two things stood out for me last night:
1.We would certainly be in the bottom three without Kipre who was immense again last night. NG has been good but I would still like to see a Kipre / Morrison combination tried so that we increase our aerial strength and become a threat at corners and free kicks again.
2. We have carried Philogene for two consecutive games,it has been like playing with 10 men. I know players need to play to gain confidence but he has been awful.
A point well earned!

Imo last night was a valuable point gained BUT it was gained by hard work and won in spite of the team selection rather than because of it. Normally we have little threat up front, but last night we had next to no threat. In all honesty we rode our luck and have to thank the efforts of Kipre ODowda Wintle Ng and a few others.
Undoubtedly, the OT is correct in that we are at present in a relegation battle. If you look at goals scored and 2 points from the last 5 home games, then this is clearly the case.

The main debate is whether we will stay up? When Morison was manager I thought this would not be a problem, and sacking him made no sense. Now we need to keep Kipre till the end of the season and hope that he
and a few key others stay fit. I am hoping that the returning Davies and the improving Etete can make a big difference in the 2nd half of the season. We have a decent enough squad,to survive in this division and its up to the manager to utilise the players he has correctly.
Hudson seems like a decent bloke, but I’m not yet convinced that he is a decent manager. But, lets hope he (fingers crossed for him).
On balance, I think we will stay up. :bluebird: :bluebird:
