Paramedics in England cannot respond to 117,000 urgent 999 calls every month because they are stuck outside hospitals looking after patients, figures show.

The amount of time ambulance crews had to wait outside A&E units meant they were unavailable to attend almost one in six incidents.

Long delays in handing patients over to A&E staff meant 38,000 people may have been harmed last month alone – one in seven of the 292,000 who had to wait at least 15 minutes.

Of those left at risk of harm, 4,100 suffered potential “severe harm”, according to the bosses of England’s ambulance services

Davies brought the case up and as we know drakeford lost it... but the mans daughter had a right go at drakeford saying may not get what they want of Westminster but the buck stops with him as WG run nhs... but WG spokesman spewed out same response as drakeford in reply to her namely dont get enough money from Westminster... it's not what amount ££££s you get its about what you do with the ££££s what you got that's important.... the organisation of nhs in wales is shambolic ... most health boards if not all have a specific dept to deal with WG directives at what cost to nhs? Lots can do to save money and make nhs run more smoothly but takes someone with knowhow to do it... in hywl dda where I live they've had numerous CEO since its inception average every 2yrs each time replace it costs nhs around £200k in severance package ... like said plenty ways to save money.....

I Wonder how many of you have a mortgage that has a fixed rate running out soon. What ever you think of Drakeford the black hole of the Truss debt created by herself would keep this little land going for years. Thicker than Dianie Abbott and wanted shot of by 2/3 of her own party today was not the day to pick holes in Drakefords policies.Truss has damaged the Welsh economy far more than anything Drakefords done the only difference we are only just paying for it.

I know her and Kwasi caused additional mayhem the other week, but interest rates have been rising the world over all year long. I think the BoE have been too slow to raise rates and the sharp rise had to come at some point. America has led the way on inflation and rates. Biden selling trillions of govt bonds at 4% or more has exacerbated this. Can’t keep pumping money into the system without it fuelling inflation. Plus he cut American oil output the day he took office. Contributing to shortage of oil. Not good timing unfortunately. All that aside, it’s been a car crash here and looks like the circus isn’t finished if Bojo enters the race to replace her.
