Whatever you think of Morison he does have an attitude that can grate some.

Perhaps this is part if it.

Quote (you also): "PERHAPS this is part of it?

Which is it? :?

You seem to have missed the middle sentence that relates directly to the last sentence.

I'm genuinely shocked and it will all come out in the wash (the poloitician will see to that)

But we have to say, the start of the season has not been what was required/expected and Steve Morison has put himself under pressure with much of what he has said/done

Personally, I was prepared to back him for a while longer but, like others on here, I don't think it's a 'bad' decision

What/who comes next will speak volumes about the 'value' of this sacking

We watch with interest... :ayatollah:

If they hold on for a couple of days we may get Cooper after he’s sacked by Forest.

Leadership have spent so long largely repairing the the relationship with the fans and then they go and do this.

Anyone reasonable could accept that it would take time to gel the team together after such a hectic summer, and the first half against Boro suggested that we when it would finally gel we’d be more than okay.

Only acceptable explanation for me is that something behind the scenes has happened, from a footballing standpoint it is absolute insanity.

Review after ten games.

Not good enough.

I never warmed to him always felt I would not want to work for him.

International break to get somebody in. The right decision.

Oh and this is all part of the bigger Bale deal... Lol

I really hope Tan has learned from his mistakes and doesn’t appoint a nobody and pay him peanuts because we will be having this same conversation in 6 months time

Nathan Jones has earned a crack at this job that’s for sure

I’m surprised, he had next to no players start, changed our style, signed 17 new players and we’re 10 games in, it’s not going to happen overnight.

I don’t want dyche that’d be a return to hoofball plus we don’t have players for that.

What is needed is someone to play a more expansive game not someone who didn't know what to do because he didn't know oppositions team so played game inside own half with little thought of attacking a very weak and poor side.....

Exactly this. And not a long ball merchant. A good young coach. Can't think of any though. Big decision for the club.

Is Dyche a hoofball merchant?

He'd never come anyway for a salary of £3.50 per week and a bag of sweets

Liverpool are a long ball team its just not aimlessly whacking it up to a target man

Anyway we don't have any long ball then second ball players in our squad except Ralls, so it has to be someone with a bit of savvy

Nobody saw this coming for sure.

It seems odd timing, especially after the win at Boro but SMs post match comment yesterday may have helped the board take this decision today. I couldn't believe he said that we (he) didn't know what to do as we didn't know what to expect.

Mick was quickly sacked when he struggled and early doors too, I also think this has happened to SM now to attract a new manager when we are only points away from playoffs instead of doing it in January when we could be right in it and nobody decent wants to join us.

Dyche would be the dream, Nathan Jones after that but we'd have to pay Luton. I think we've got a decent enough squad that a good manager could get clicking.

Whoever comes in next better win every game with a totally new squad otherwise the pitch forks will be out eitherway. 10 games in what was the point in him starting the season with his suppose choice of 17 new players. Baffling but something has gone on I think. Eitherway we shall see :bluescarf:

I think you’re being a little unfair to criticise the board on this.

You were all for Morison being appointed, as was I, once it was clear that Wilder wasn’t a viable option.

Whilst I do understand this decision I do think it’s too early unless there are things going on behind the scenes like losing the players.

To be fair I think whoever replaces him will inherit a much more balanced squad than he did. It’s also a good time to do it with there being a break.

It will be interesting to see who’s in the running as a replacement and I do wonder whether Hudson will get a bit of time unless they already have somebody in mind ?

I can’t see anyone less suited for this job than Nathan Jones. He plays long ball and that simply doesn’t fit with the squad he would inherit.

We wouldn’t even be mentioning him if he wasn’t Welsh.

He failed at Stoke, he’s struggling this season at Luton. Just don’t see why people think he would be right for us just because he’s a City fan !!??

One has to assume the board have an idea who to appoint as otherwise this sacking is bizarre. Maybe it was always a case of review after 10 games but to assume these signings and likes of Watters up front for majority was going to be anything other than a disaster is crazy

Being a football manager must be the most precarious occupation? 18mnths is the average tenure for the job. :o
