We all know the reason we didn’t score today isn’t because Preston have a very well organised defence, we have failed to score in our last 3 games and only 3 times in our last 7.

Does anyone really enjoy this pretty pretty passing football that is so totally ineffective we haven’t scored in our last 3 matches. I long for the days of Neil Warnocks hoofball when we had our promotion winning season, we were smashing teams to pieces with it. Hell it is so bad now I am looking back with some fondness at the early days of Mick McCarthy.

There seems to be a cult of Morrison and Watters fans who think Watters should be allowed an endless run of matches without scoring until he comes good. Morrison still seems to have a hell of a lot of fans considering how modest the teams performances have been this season, though I think the scales are beginning to fall form peoples eyes with regards to both.

One of the flaws in your argument is that we did actually hit the ground running, we beat league favourites Norwich in the first game of the season and then Birmingham and find ourselves in a play off position with 7 points. The point which you are deliberately missing is we are actually getting worse since then and have failed to score in our last 3 games. I have not called for Morrison to be sacked and I have no seen anyone call for it either, I am just pointing out he may not be the managerial genius some people may think he is. As for max Watters, how many games does he have to go without scoring before it is permissible to say he should be dropped.

To be honest I couldn’t give a toss how well we play the ball out of defence when it leads to absolutely nothing.
on behind the scenes. The new left back came out of nowhere and looked like another shrewd signing bas

Unfortunately the season doesnt end after 4 games. Did we hit the ground running? Yes we beat Norwich, but then crumbled in the next 2 games. We had 3 shots against Norwich and scored from a deflected shot/pass. Not complaining but I wouldnt say that was hitting the ground running, exactly. I havnt deliberately missed anything out. Before the season started I expected an inconsistent start to the season due to the high turnover in players. Results and performances so far have been exactly that. Everyone can see we need another striker but at the moment Watters is the only option we have. What shouldn't be happening is him getting abuse from our own fans. He always puts a shift in.

He talks some bollocks. Gates down to 17000 this season. People pay to watch goals and results.

But don’t you get it?

This complete reset and 15 or so new players we should be averaging 30,000 gates and win the league by Christmas.

He might need to change his mind shortly with that statement when we are in bottom 5

nah, Pep may get away with those statements, its a results based business.

We have a decent squad minus a striker, i be there are many a manager/coach out there who wouldn't mind a crack at CCFC.
