Been pleasantly surprised by Whyte. Him on the right, Tanner on the left, drop Harris.

It also looks like theres a player in Joel Colwill. Very bright player.

Been a good outing I thought. I enjoyed the game, first half we looked far more composed than in the second half but that is to be expected considering the changes made in the second half.
I thought Denham and NG looked far more comfortable with the style that were playing than Nelson and Mcguinnes.
Tanner stand out for me, also impressed by Daley-Campbell, Collins, Wintle. Joel Colwill looks a good prospect and I am open to seeing more of Whyte who impressed.
All in all, a lot to be happy with this. We I think we need a left winger and a center half who is comfortable with the ball at their feet. I would say a creative central midfielder, but we had Rinhamota, Ralls and Sawyers out, who could fill that role.
I like Watters but we need competition up front too.
Really impressed with the style of play, we look composed and happy to play from the back, and when out of position were press high, look athletic and fast.

He does look good. Best player on pitch second half for me was Joel Colwill. An excellent prospect that looks far older than he is.

Easy for the youngsters 2nd half

Not great opposition today, but good to see us try and breakdown a team that play 5 at the back. Some very good build up play today, and we did it without the lad we got from reading and still Sawyers and Ralls to play yet. Strange we've not seen the Callum O yet as well, but overall very positive.

Ill be honest I didnt know who was who when the batch of subs came on in the 2nd half.
Surprisingly, McGuiness started the second half with a mare, got better. Need to see more from Romeo. I think he'll be better with better players.
Tanner though is a star. Hes just got the skill, attitude and confidence.

I wouldbt agree entirely. They got better as the half went on, but struggled at times and Newport took control for a good twenty minute period, then the goal changed the game and the kids settled down a bit..

To be fair we had 2 wingers playing central midfield. So all things considered, I think they did well.
