Kieffer Moore has played 61 minutes for Bournemouth and scored 3 goals, averaging a goal every 20.3 minutes

Re: £1M Goal

I few points which people are ignoring!
1. Kieffer Moore wanted out in January and had almost downed tools completely, i dont think the club had much any chance of holding on to him.

2. Much of Bournemouth's financial muscle comes from their parachute payments together with much of their premier league squad being maintained. Without a doubt City's drop from the Premier League was not managed at all well hence the relative positions of the two clubs.

And your missing, I know for a fact a great last January the club told Moore they wanted to sell him to Wolves, from then on, Moore knew we had No ambition. A fact.

Just been chatting, yes looks good, to get more money, but under Tan, just like all the previous monies from sales, the manager will hardly see it
The last few yrs it’s been sell , sell.

Thanks for another million in tans pocket Kieffer. Don’t blame him for wanting to go. Looked a different player playing in a team that wants to win games of football.

Can’t help but think that when Feb 1st 2023 comes around he’ll be back on loan in the championship….

For those who said it was all one off, More is a prolific scorer.

I have to say it was a great goal deserving of his new club's win and promotion

Sadly, I can't wish him well, as I believe he let our club down massively and was part of the early season problems

But we (the Bluebirds) move on and I can't deny I will watch his progress with interest next season

Well done to FC Bournemouth as a club. They have shown what can be done with the right infrastructure, the right leadership and a plan! :ayatollah:

Re: £1M Goal

Moore had downed tools and had to be sold. He was sulking and missing games.

Some may argue he was only sulking because he was told he was gong to Wolves in the summer and the club pulled out of the deal. But that is the right of the selling club, if Moore had then just got his head down and delivered on the pitch like he should have done he could have had his move in January and left with his reputation intact but instead he behaved like a sulky kid and I have no time for that.

He was nowhere to be seen when we were struggling and needed him.

Just remember, he's not even started a game for Bournemouth and come on as a sub in just 3 games in over 3 months. So not a bad deal for us based on those stats !!

It will be interesting to see how much game time he gets next season but at least he'll have a nice pile of Prem wages to sit on, which is all he really wanted.

So did that make it OK for him to sulk and not put in the 100% effort we expect  :?:

He wasn't on huge money but it was still probably £12k a week and a lot more than he had earned anywhere else in his career, yet after one good season for us he decides we don't have enough ambition and he wants to move on.

I'm sorry but that's a pretty poor attitude and inexcusable, whatever his feelings toward the club he still owed it to us to put in 100% particularly when we needed him most.

For those who said it was all one off, More is a prolific scorer.

Prolific is a bit of an overstatement looking at his goal scoring record in league football He is a very consistent goal scorer Mitrovic is prolific at championship level having scored more than more in one season than Moore has scored in 6 seasons in the Championship

I would like another striker who can score like this, would you not?

How do you describe ?

He has scored 46 goals in 151 championship games i don’t call that prolific Peter Whiitingham scored 51 goals from 170 games over a 4 year period for us ,so a similar goals per game ratio and no one ever called him a prolific goal scorer and that was from midfield
I would call some one prolific with a goal every 2 to at a stretch 2.5 games
Moore is a consistent scorer no doubt

Your table misses out the other 31 games he played and only scored 4 goals

Re: £1M Goal

Had too look up Moore goals per minute ratio. and found that in Championship
He is way behind players like
Rudy Gestede
Earnshaw
Heiderson
La Fondra
All ex city players
Also behind the likes of Danny Graham and no one would ever call him prolific
Moore is 53rd overall in the table of players who have played in the Championship ( only games in championship take. into account )

It is unfair IMO to compare Moore over his whole career to other players as he has been a 'late bloomer' and progressed massively in his late 20s finally becoming prolific at Wigan, Cardiff and now Bournemouth. No doubt he is a better striker now than players like Gestede and Le Fondre ever were at their peaks.

If we’re comparing their peaks, Gestede scored 33 in 66 in the league for Blackburn. Moore scored 35 in 100 for Wigan and Cardiff.

Yep, the comparison with Gestede is a fair one. He was very effective for a couple of seasons but it didn't last long.

Let's see how Moore does now.

Personally I think he's going to have to change the way he plays now he's in the Prem due to the referees (I don't agree with that but they just don't like a physical battle). You can see from the Wales games that he's probably not first choice centre forward at the moment, even allowing for his injuries/illness, because he gets penalised every time he challenges.

However, he is quite good on the floor so maybe able to adapt.
