The other day you started another topic praising your messiah Tan about thanks to his backing we got a good squad of players etc![]()
I had to laugh for days.
We sold Kieffer Moore and bought NO one once again.
We sent more players out on loan as not good enough the other clubs paid their low wages.
The ones with high wages we paid towards.
The players we brought in we paid less than half their wages and as they came from their 2nd teams so were not on massive wages.
Anyway 95% of the wages have evened out over the season.
We have struggled yet again, last home crowd 17,000 which I attended, fans are voting with their feet and I will guarantee now that we will not sell 14,500 season tickets next season, way less unless fans see big improvements on the quality brought in.
I have from day one praised Steve Morison for doing so well with NO money and improved the football.
Tan was forcing previous managers to have 10 players that the majority were No good or not ready for the first team.
PLEASE ANSWER THIS / PLEASE VALUE OUR SQUAD THAT IS LEFT AFTER THIS SEASON FINISHES?
Goalkeepers : Phillips, Ratcliffe.
Defenders : Ng, McGuinness, Nelson, Denham, Connolly, Bagan.
Midfielders : Tom Sang, Wintle, Colwill, Bowen, King, Whyte, Evans.
Forwards : James Collins, Mark Harris, Max Watters, Isaak Davies, Zimba.
Was that the one about value of our squad improving DUE TO MORISON?
Do you even f*cking read my posts or does your hatred of Tan blind you to what I write all the time?
Now now answer my question?
Please
There’s absolutely no point Annis.
My post the other day had my thoughts on the value of our squad currently. Clearly it needs strengthening with loans (like in January), free transfers (like Malky did when Tan just took over) or players purchased like we have done many times in the past and overpaid most of the time.
If Tan isn’t prepared to support Morison this summer then it is probable that we are going to struggle next season. Morison has proven to be a good coach and manager but he won’t be able to perform miracles.
If Tan has no intention of backing the manager then he needs to sell us.
Now in your head I’m sure you are seeing me worshipping Tan and criticising Sam somehow.

Phillips 1 million. He looked good for us when he played. We have two good keepers.
Ng 1.5 million. Can play right back or right centre back. Both impressively.
McGuinness 2 million. Young and is a good defender and decent on the ball.
Nelson 250k. Solid defender.
Denham 250k. Potential.
Bagan 3 million. Thriving under Morison. Confident, solid and scores goals.
Wintle 1 million. Probably under pricing him but he is exactly what we have needed in midfield for ages.
Colwill 2 million. Mainly for potential but he could be very good. Value would increase exponentially.
Bowen 250k. Looked reasonable. Decent on the ball. Not a world beater.
King 250k. Much same as Bowen.
Whyte 1 million. Pace and assists at oxford. In the right team could be very good. I think could replace Drameh.
Evans 250k. Pace and a good cross. Amazing under 23 level see if he can replicate.
Harris 250k. Pace and scores goals. Wales international. Maybe under pricing him.
Watters 250k. Scores goals in the right system albeit hasn’t proven himself at us.
Davies 2 million. Pace and makes things happen. That value could increase exponentially.
Zimba 250k. Mainly for potential.
Comparison to the squad left when Sam left isn’t possible. The squad above has been put together at low cost. As you have said some of the players are earning 250 quid aren’t they?
For comparison though these are the players in the squad when Sam left that I think were worth money. The squad apparently worth so much which co-incidentally had cost a lot more than the squad above to assemble. Any player who had been worth significant money had been sold to pay off whatever debts needed paying. This included Jerome, Collins, Gabbiadon, Kavanagh, McAnuff and Earnie. We were firmly a mid table side albeit had a storming start to the season and were top but never had the squad strength or training facilities to keep that going over the winter. The struggles had already started and were typical of Dave Jones’ time as manager.

Fair play, but you sound like Dalman, I will keep these figures and I will state now, some of these you could not give away .
Some of these can’t get even in to our match day squad.

Surely the greater measure for a business/football club is what we bought the players for against what we eventually sell them for. That's all the accountants would worry about.
For instance in the list left after Sam:
Purse was signed for £1m left for nothing.
Loovens signed for £250k left for nothing
Chopra signed for £3m left for £1.5m
Thompson signed for £250k left for nothing
Alexander signed for £270k left for nothing
Barker signed for £800k left for nothing
Scimeca, Ledley, Parry all left for nothing
Flood went for what we paid for him
Only Ramsey and Johnson went for serious money/profit
Now, of course, any criticism of those sales has to be tempered with the fact we don't know what our current players will go for in future and some would argue that some were sold/got rid of by Riddler to keep HMRC away but based on those comparisons I'm not sure the Sam transfer model was that successful either, particularly if you're trying to keep the club afloat !!
By the way, for balance, I should add I think Maccydee's current valuations are a bit high in some instances but we just don't know.

Hang on a minute !! You were the one who brought in the subject of the players remaining when Sam left, not me !!
Have I said anything that is incorrect there ?
I absolutely want to move away from Sam v Tan but I'm not the one bringing it back into the conversation, you are.

Where do I ask or mention players of the past value on this topic?
I asked what was the value of todays present value ??
We should be talking about our squad for this Summer, but sadly you and Neil are obsessed in trying to bring Sam in to everything.
I will stress for the last time, if you want to do this, your in the wrong forum.
The snipers and windup merchants are on the dark side forum, maybe you should finally join them.

So if I don’t agree with your perspective I’m not allowed to voice my opinion on here ?
Is that the case ?
If it is then it’s obviously a new “rule” as you were able to snipe at Tan with impunity prior to the recent court case.
