The other day you started another topic praising your messiah Tan about thanks to his backing we got a good squad of players etc
I had to laugh for days.

We sold Kieffer Moore and bought NO one once again.
We sent more players out on loan as not good enough the other clubs paid their low wages.
The ones with high wages we paid towards.

The players we brought in we paid less than half their wages and as they came from their 2nd teams so were not on massive wages.
Anyway 95% of the wages have evened out over the season.

We have struggled yet again, last home crowd 17,000 which I attended, fans are voting with their feet and I will guarantee now that we will not sell 14,500 season tickets next season, way less unless fans see big improvements on the quality brought in.

I have from day one praised Steve Morison for doing so well with NO money and improved the football.

Tan was forcing previous managers to have 10 players that the majority were No good or not ready for the first team.

My post the other day had my thoughts on the value of our squad currently. Clearly it needs strengthening with loans (like in January), free transfers (like Malky did when Tan just took over) or players purchased like we have done many times in the past and overpaid most of the time.

If Tan isn’t prepared to support Morison this summer then it is probable that we are going to struggle next season. Morison has proven to be a good coach and manager but he won’t be able to perform miracles.

If Tan has no intention of backing the manager then he needs to sell us.

Now in your head I’m sure you are seeing me worshipping Tan and criticising Sam somehow.

Phillips 1 million. He looked good for us when he played. We have two good keepers.
Ng 1.5 million. Can play right back or right centre back. Both impressively.
McGuinness 2 million. Young and is a good defender and decent on the ball.
Nelson 250k. Solid defender.
Denham 250k. Potential.
Bagan 3 million. Thriving under Morison. Confident, solid and scores goals.
Wintle 1 million. Probably under pricing him but he is exactly what we have needed in midfield for ages.
Colwill 2 million. Mainly for potential but he could be very good. Value would increase exponentially.
Bowen 250k. Looked reasonable. Decent on the ball. Not a world beater.
King 250k. Much same as Bowen.
Whyte 1 million. Pace and assists at oxford. In the right team could be very good. I think could replace Drameh.
Evans 250k. Pace and a good cross. Amazing under 23 level see if he can replicate.
Harris 250k. Pace and scores goals. Wales international. Maybe under pricing him.
Watters 250k. Scores goals in the right system albeit hasn’t proven himself at us.
Davies 2 million. Pace and makes things happen. That value could increase exponentially.
Zimba 250k. Mainly for potential.

Comparison to the squad left when Sam left isn’t possible. The squad above has been put together at low cost. As you have said some of the players are earning 250 quid aren’t they?

For comparison though these are the players in the squad when Sam left that I think were worth money. The squad apparently worth so much which co-incidentally had cost a lot more than the squad above to assemble. Any player who had been worth significant money had been sold to pay off whatever debts needed paying. This included Jerome, Collins, Gabbiadon, Kavanagh, McAnuff and Earnie. We were firmly a mid table side albeit had a storming start to the season and were top but never had the squad strength or training facilities to keep that going over the winter. The struggles had already started and were typical of Dave Jones’ time as manager.

I left off a number of players who aren’t worth anything. Players we would struggle to give away.

There are many variables to those values. If certain players keep improving they will be worth more. When we were on a winning run under Mick Keifer Moore was worth 10 million, Murphy even worth money but as performances deteriorated so did value. We have a core of good young players at the moment. Smithies/Phillips, McGuinness, Ng, Bagan, Wintle, Davies. But there is little depth when you take out the loan players we got for whatever you said about 95% which made no sense whatsoever.

As I have said countless times (yet you never listen) we need to strengthen and Tan needs to back Morison. If he doesn’t then he needs to step aside for someone who will. But that’s person needs to be able to run us effectively and within our means. Quite frankly no one in my 33 years supporting cardiff has managed to do that. Even ‘my messiah’ Tan and certainly not Sam. Had we got to the premier league under Sam things would have been very different. Had we got to the premier league under Riddler things would have been different, had we stayed in the premier league with Tan, things would have been different. But we didn’t and all three of our last owners have got us in a mess. Thankfully, with Tan, he has the debt against him and is wealthy enough and honourable enough to not f**k us.
