Think we had some better songs back then, His name is Jimmy Scoular he's the leader of the blues, We don't carry razors, If I had the wings of an angel. and more.

Yep great days. I used to love "Those were the days". In fact it was our song for a while. The back of the Grange End would be bouncing literally -how those old wooden terraces didn't collapse I will never know!

Glad its not just me who remembers those old songs/ chants and the era of “ooh its a corner”.
‘Bless them all!!’ …. The long and the short and the tall. Bless Johnny Toshak and bless Peter King, and bless Ronnie Bird as he streaks down the wing!” Etc
Good to hear Toshak is on the mend.
These days Id like to hear ‘Yma o hyd’ played before every City game. Its Welsh and a great song with good words not only for our country but also for our club supportes - ‘in spite of everybody and everything, WE ARE STILL HERE- YMA O HYD :bluebird:

Well pretty good atmosphere for the Wales v Austria match - and the tone was set by the sunging of Yma o Hyd.
Much better than the boring mournful Men of Harlech or even Hey Jude.
Yma o hyd tells opponents “in spite of everybody and evwrything we are still here.it tells the opposition that they are in a different country and we will stand together and are up for the battle!!
Ive menruoned it on several threads over the years. Are we as a forum able to suggest to the City that hirarchy that they adopt it.
How do we get YMA O HYD played before each City home match as the teams run out?
