Steve Morisons own words, We were in trouble due to starting the season with so many inexperienced players.

So with these games coming up, like the OP says now is the time to jell a couple more in :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

NO one said start with six, just put a few more in the match day squads :thumbright: :bluebird:

And many of these current players will not be here next season.

But our youngsters will be here and many of you then saying it does not matter that they never had experience.

Our youngsters the future the same people say.

There is only Bowen & Denham left i believe anyway

King and Bowen every other week for Vaulks, but never without either Ralls and Wintle. (i would still keep Will though)

Denham for Mcguinness a few times.

All the other potential starters are out on loan

Exactly type of thing I was thinking when I replied earlier in thread

Perfect opportunity to try out some of the youngsters in starting line ups or off the bench and adjust tactics accordingly.

Gives Morison and Cardiff a good platform to identify positions to strengthen during the window and earmark players with potential to feature in the squad next season.

I just think it's all about balance which the gaffer has about right at the moment.

We owe it all those to field our strongest possible team, and also the EFL might have something else to sanction us with not fielding our strongest team. Possibly we can do it against mid table teams, but again if these teams have little to play for, it will only give our youngsters experience of playing at these grounds, If it's not fully competitive. Some benefit I guess.

I dont agree, we owe those teams nothing. If we want to develope/give experience to a few youngsters then its in the interest of our club to do that. We shouldn't be putting the interest of other clubs before our own. That said, I dont think morison is the type to field a team that isn't going to be competitive.

So you would be quite happy if we were fighting for promotion, or against relegation, for other teams to field what would really be weakened sides to play against the teams which could cause us to miss out on promotion or to get us relegated? Maybe my choice of words "owe it" was wrong. Maybe I believe competition should be competitive. :bluescarf:

Wouldn't be ideal for any club. But I want to see talent coming through our academy. For that to happen they need to be playing. So wouldnt hold it against a club for developing their youngsters - within reason of course.

There is going to be high turnover in players next season where a few players could find themselves in similar positions as colwill and Davies. I'd rather them get a headstart on next season and give morison a chance to see how they get on.

This conversation comes up at the end of most seasons. Playing the youngsters doesn't mean flooding the starting 11 with u23s for the sake of it. I'm hoping to see king and Denham at least get some minutes off the bench. If we can't play them now, when we essentially have nothing to play for, when can we play them?

Let’s be honest if we did that and lost more than we won there would be the usual suspects (including the OP) who would ask why we offered a new contract to Morison and would use it to slate our owner.
