Absolute rubbish.

City played the perfect away first half. Allowed them one shot and we threatened on the break.

2nd half we got a great goal and then tried to close out the game.

Huddersfield lumped the ball into the box with the wind behind them and hoped.

Possession stats mean nothing. Peterborough had 70% possession against us and we beat them 4-0 and it could have easily been 7-0.

Tonight we let them have the ball until they were 20 yards outside the box and then quickly closed them down.

It worked for 88mins and even then neither of their goals were exactly cultured football !!

If we had held out it would have been the perfect away performance but we got done right at the end.

Massive change in approach and a sign of rising expectations when we’re disappointed losing at the end to a team in the top 4.

Huddersfield Blackburn etc etc they've all passed us by.
We nearly, saw the game out. Aye if the dog hadn't stopped to shit he would have won the race.
We'll stay up this season, but then what?
Low expections next season.

If you can’t see/admit how much better we now look and we’re now competitive against even the top teams in the division then I give up !!

Attitudes like yours are exactly why we are where we are because you won’t recognise that we finally have a long term plan and a philosophy that we will stick to rather than the previous short-term fixes (e.g. Warnock, McCarthy, etc.).

There will be ups and downs as we transition but, on the pitch, I’m more confident of our future than I have been for a long time.

We were never going to win every game until the end of the season but we’re looking a lot safe than we were.

For the first time for years I’m actually enjoying the football and it’s getting me up off my seat. Long may it continue.

I'd say my expectations were low this season, especially after the summer exodus.
We seemed to get our house in order last summer. Will be plenty of teams panicking this year. We'll be alright.
Expectations next season are probably higher, not as much as to go up. But certainly a solid mid table. Even with these kids and SM in charge.

Definitely more positives than negatives and he'll learn from experiences like last night.

Can't believe those being negative. The Conditions were abysmal and 2 long balls done us.

Bagai was brilliant tonight against a top quality winger so don't understand the critism of him?

Great support for a long wed night up north. Must been about 1100 at least ?

Good on you for taking in that journey mate. Good post.

For me, A bearing on our defeat was some influential players getting booked and had to be taken off (Doyle and Hugill) We had 7 players booked with the 3 of them McGuiness, Doyle and Bagan were stupid bookings for embarrassing fouls in the oppositions half and the usual Vaulks Booking and Harris kicking the ball away ..... with our backs to the wall defending we nearly pulled it off ..... although on a good run not that impressed with Huddersfield

Thats how I seen it played well and kept shape etc but when discipline started leaving us and Morison panicking as soon as they were on yellows. Our 2 best players got taken off and the subs couldn't step up to it on the night

Disappointed but not surprised to read Morison’s comment it was a perfect away performance until they scored.

If that’s the way he wants his team to play ie without any offensive mindset and no tempo on the break then he’s deluded.

There was no outlet to take pressure off the defence which only by good luck held on as long as they did.

Attack is the best form of defence.

Yes in injury time away to the form team in the league !!!

I thought we played it perfectly against the 4th placed team away from home that hadn’t lost for 15 games. Defended well first half in particular and got our goal from our superior shots on target. They were playing Warnock ball towards the end and the conditions along with some poor defending meant we couldn’t hold out.

Exactly. Some think we should be winning every game and if we don’t jump in their bandwagon we have expectations that are too low

So we had 10 shots to their 14 and 7 on target as opposed to their 4 and that's a defensive away performance :o

We had the best chances all the way through the game and, until the last 10 mins, we didn't let them create anything clean cut.

I accept that the important stat is that we lost 2-1 but to claim that was anything but a very good away performance is just silly

Totally agree with last comment, 9minutes injury time did for us. Imagine we could still be watching McCarthy ball. Football is 100% better. Give Morrison the job now at least he will play the youngsters and with a couple of experienced players next year we could do really wel. Who would we get as manager there’s nobody out there Morrison is a breath of fresh air since Dave Jones.

Totally agree and for what ever reason Most goals in football are scored in the last few minutes and added time. in the return fixture we scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute

So glad to see there are like minded people like me. Amazed how some fans are negative and yes the fans clapped the team off...
