The team was appalling until Morison changed it, and used common sense too, and before half time too.

Well if the committee picked the team, it looks like Morison stuck two fingers up after 38 minutes and hauled Watters off for not doing what he wanted. His decision was vindicated by the result and the difference Hugill made when he came on

It was your knowledgeable/gut opinion after years of experience stating Morrison didn’t pick the side!

Hmmm pointless response or not you were wrong, makes one wonder if you’ve ever supported the Club or are just another “drama queen”

Savvy new manager XI 1 - 0 Doubting Thomas Selection XI

Some of you make me laugh!

When SM clearly stated some were jaded, he rested them and made the necessary changes when required, inc. a rather peeved looking Max Watters

Seems like SM actually knew his squad and what he was doing, eh? ;) :laughing6:

Sven

I believe his line up at best showed immaturity, or indeed was his hand forced? Who knows?

I think he recognised well before the 38 minute mark that either he had made a big mistake, or he couldnt out his name to this side and via substitutes crafted a side that was able to get the win.

I would say hats off to him for recognising this and having the guts to go with his instinct but the usual crew would turn it into a negative....

No that would be pretty decent of you to do so.

It would also be decent of you to admit you were wrong.

I think I saw Ken Choo phone the bench on 37 minutes and tell Morrison to pull Watters off actually.
Of course he had to have a quick zoom meeting with Tan who was on his boat in Malaysia first.

With respect I wasn't necessarily wrong. Up to the change we were lost and absolutely dire. Either I was right and Morison quickly saw sense changing back to a side that at least had a chance to get something from the game or Morison got it horribly wrong himself.

And no, I've nothing to back up my thoughts other than history which has proved the leader is a meddler in team affairs. Why is it so laughable that I should immediately think there is interference in the team when such an awkward, awful team full of committee signings and kids is put out?

I've backtracked on Harris who scored a good goal, and am more than happy with the three points. But of course Im not a supporter, and I should just blindly follow and accept everything is ok?

Love the idea that ken Choo is demanding that max watters and Eli king start

Morison obviously likes King, I don't think he had a poor game either really.

Pulling Watters off before half-time probably took it out of him and no wonder he looked flushed as he sat there...

Well you also seem to think people in suits are picking the team so I'll take your opinions with handfuls of salt

As you are aware I was talking about King, so changing the subject is a little feeble.

If you thought King did well then good for you. You have a right to an opinion, just as I have a justigiable right to believe based on player interviews that men in suits have , amd possibly still pick the side.

Is this like what Morison said according to Rob?

Of course it is. For you.

Show me a link or two and I’ll happily apologise.

Do you mean the one where McNaughton said he “thought Tan tried to get involved with team selection so Malky wasn’t too happy?”

Or where Gabbidon said to the Sun: ”He can have an opinion on players and who he thinks should play. That’s fine. He likes football, he wants to see the team do well and he owns the club. At a lot of clubs there are owners like that. But the final decision is with the management team.”

Or Malky said it. Wonder if Malky said Tan did that when we were winning the championship? Nah, didn’t think so.

Oh yeah. Definitive proof. I don’t see why Isaacs isn’t using it in his court case.

I've literally just posted the proof half way up but people seem to be ignoring it just to have a pop at Barclay instead.

Ben Turner is lying then?
Or Ole is the one who lied to Turner himself?
