We will always be a soft touch under DJ. Today was the classic 0-0 yet we gift them the game. Putting Matthews at right back away from home is suicide, unfortunate McNaughton went off again, but why not put Darcy at right back and bring Koumas on in midfield, or even Paul Quinn at right back? When you have little 5'5 Nathan Dyer outjumping you for a header, it's obvious Matthews will never be defensively solid enough to be a full back, he's a wing back or a winger.

Whatever decisions or players we have available, I don't think any other team would have gifted the game to Ipswich like we did today, it's simply not good enough.

No team would cope with the 5 injuries we've had they are quality players so every team would struggle!! how would qpr cope without mackie he's scoring all their goals!!

Sorry to say I think we could see this coming and I know the injured players are a big loss, let's face it they would be a big loss to any team.

But having said all that when I watched DJ pre match interview yesterday I suspected the worse. His body language just shouted out "woe is me".

The interview was just over 5 minutes and as usual contained his 3 stock questions and answers. I won't know about the injured players until we have a look at them, there are no easy games in this league and it's a lot to ask players who haven't played much since Noah was a boy to play 3 games a week.

If that was the basis of his team talk then little wonder the lads in the "black" failed to turn up today.

Forget the injured players and ask yourself if Roy Keane, Neil Warnock, Kevin Blackwell or Billy Davies would accept these performances.

DJ will and when we hear his after match commments expect the stock answers, you cannot defend like that an expect to get anything, look we'll get the lads in tomorrow and show them the video and of course this will be seen as the end of the world in our part of the world. He will pobably dump on Adam Matthews as well because he only gets a look in when the only other option is Quinn.

Never mind the injured players will be back soon, results will improve, we will maintain our position in the top 6 but the test of a manager is not how you do when the sun is shinning.

Carl, I Have Every Sympathy with the injuries, but so will other managers have injuries, every season he fails, HE IS TO INCONSISTANT.

Anyway to the point Connor Wickham played 83 minutes for Ipswich today and this 17 year old lad played a blinder putting himself about and kicking everything and everyone in sight. Now he was injured pre season and this was his first game back.

How on earth can he manage to put in a performance like that beating up our 2experienced CB in the process, according to DJ this is not possible or is it not possible for our players.

Are Ipswich doing something different to prepare the players or is it simply the Roy Keane effect.

It's a reasonable question too. Suppose it depends on what Ipswich have behind the scenes in terms of resrve teams etc and what sort of injury he was carrying.

In Koumas' case, it was 8 months without doing anything, which is going to take much longer to recover from. I'm pretty sure we've used him much more than we had hoped to by this stage which isn't ideal.
