I've managed to watch a couple of Peterborough, Reading and Barnsley games and they have been awful.
Peterborough are perhaps the team that could catch us up, yes I feel Derby will overtake us. We need to at least avoid defeat by Peterborough to at least give us hope they will not catch us up. Ideally though we need to just start winning some games which at the moment seems a tall order.

if ever there was an incentive for us to go out and perform and bring home the points, yesterday's results and Derby losing today must be it. C'mon Bluebirds for once take advantage of the opportunity to send out a statement to the teams around and below us...

Well that looks like an all sorts team.
It will be interesting to see how Doughty, Doyle and Hugill combine. Hopefully they will take the pressure of how back 3 which could be our weakness against this Forest side.

Here we go

I like the way the team is set up

Tremendous breakaway play from Alfie Doughty there. Shrugged off his challenger and burst upfield before releasing Hugill, who eventually wins a free-kick 30 yards out.

freee kick to city

It’s still the much maligned three at the back but looks a lot more fluid.
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:10 pm
just what we wanted equalize first

Hugill puts pressure on Forest's centre backs there and tries to play in Watters with a leaping header, but Steve Cook gets back just in time to nod back to Samba.

Ng does well to cut out a dangerous Grabban cross.
McGuinness then does the same to stop Spence firing one in. Solid defending from the Bluebirds there.
Forest do have the corner, though.

McGuinness shields the ball out and sits Garner on his backside in the process, right in front of the Canton Stand. The Man United loanee hears all about it from the home fans...

forest upping their game

McGuinness still recovering

So gutting about seeing so many empty seats , all the fans by me shocked, Our club should of done cheap tickets as we received £130,000 for Tv Coverage
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:19 pm
fingers crossed city defending well so far
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:21 pm
Grabban pulled up for a foul on Sean Morrison there as he looks to go through on goal. Looked soft, Steve Morison turns around and puffs his cheeks out - Cardiff might have got away with one there.

Hugill does excellently there after Ralls dispossesses Colback.
He releases Drameh down the right and he tries to find Doyle, but the pass is cut out.
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:22 pm
Doyle pings one over the top for Watters to chase, but Cook just manages to head out for a throw.
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:23 pm
We moan about our cart horses at the back. Never would have thought it but theirs are even slower!!
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:23 pm
city attacking well
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:23 pm
Doughty does well to see off the dangerous Johnson as he looked to break on the far side. City corner deep in their own half. Hectic pace to this game so far, it must be said.
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:25 pm
makes big difference having a bit of pace
Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:28 pm
Johnson showing just how threatening he can be there. Beats Doughty with his lightning pace round the outside and sends in a good cross, forcing Drameh to clear hastily.
