If footballers choosing not to be vaccinated are having to isolate for ten days they should not be being paid.

We were born with freedoms.

You can't suddenly take that away and say if you do this one thing you can have them back. Harvey Weinstein has been vilified for similar behaviour :D

For good or bad we are not free to do whatever we won't. Can't travel without a passport. Can't drive car without licence, mot and insurance. Can't get on a train without a ticket. Cant work with children without DBS check. And on and on. All these have evolved through a variety of forces and circumstances and covid no different?

These are mandatory requirements, and until the jab becomes that, its called freedom of choice?

This whole saga has really turned society against one another imo, people who have been jabbed constantly trying to mock those who havent & vice versa.while it is up to the individual on their choice regards the jab, why cant people just let them make it themselves? Without the shite about punishing those who have chose, for whatever reason not to.
I consider others peoples choices in life as that their "choices" but we live in a society where people smoke for instance, but are not denied treatment for the many related diseases that come with the habit? Why not just ban cigarettes?? Because we know 100% that it is bad for you & your health, and to any kids, adults in your household who dont have the habit, and costs the nhs & other agencies involved with treatment for smoking related illnesses.yet the government allows us to make our own decisions around it, as it makes them a shit load in tax! If you are going to punish people for not having the jab, by not paying them, perhaps any smokers who are off due to a smoking related illness should also not be paid?
My point being, we all know the dangers of smoking, but nobody knows of any long term effects of this new jab? How many people take days off sick with hangovers? Or for treatment for alcohol related illness? Where do you draw the line?

Best post I've read in quite some time this. I hope enough people on here read this and it sinks in. Especially those trying to hang the "un-vaxxed" and even suggesting they cannot make a living without having a vaccine.

Law of the land currently states that if an unvaccinated person comes into contact with someone who has tested positive they must self isolate for ten days. If your a small business with two employees one vaccinated and one not and the one not has had multiple absences because he/ she has to self isolate what do you do?

Let them isolate and respect their personal choice, Simple.

And wha kind of small business we talking of? Shop? Pub?? Hotel??? Plumbing, electrician, hairdresser??? Can anyone guarantee the gov won't forcibly close the aforementioned business anyway?

People are only getting vaccinated 'to get their freedoms back', which says everything about the state of the World right now

But you don't get your freedome back, it's a lie. You get one or two extra privileges.

Well said, never thought of it like that, I will get to travel in jan/feb, 2nd dose in jan, the rules put me in a really bad place, never felt i needed or wanted it, coercion does work if they hit the right spot
