I'd go for... 4-2-3-1

Smithies
Ng McGuinness Moz Bagan
Ralls Pack
Evans/Harris Colwill Giles
Moore

This is exactly the line up I would go with as well.

My view from the Canton was this:

It was like watching a different team in the first half, you could clearly see the effort to keep the ball on the floor was there from Smithies to Moore. I think we miss a creative player in the middle of the park as Pack and Vaulks though quite solid last night did not really create any spark and left a lot of room for their midfield to play.

Second half was a different story QPR pressed and did not allow us to play the ball around and players started flapping, in particular Morrison. There was little movement off the ball to create any options though I believe we were by far the best team on the pitch but just could not score.

Giles was very quiet for the majority of the game but Colwill played well despite giving the ball away a few times but he tried really hard to create. Moore did not seem on form at all and Zimba should have at least been given 10-15 minutes at the end.

Overall, a promising display from the last games and at some point sooner rather than later we will get a much needed 3 points :bluebird:

Sums things up well. Definitely an improvement but a way to go. As someone else on this thread said, I Would have liked Morison to change our shape in the last 20 mins as we were so ineffective. Bringing on Zimba and going to a back four might have given QPR something different to think about.

I don’t agree with the comment in another post on this thread that QPR just had to turn up to win. That was the case for teams in many of our recent defeats but last night I thought QPR fought hard for win.
