That's what we need right now; positivity before the new guy (no matter who gets it) has even arrived...!

Oh, hang on! Not the done thing, it seems...!

Time for the club, and us fans !, to be brave and hold our nerve whilst we give a younger guy a chance to change the philosophy.

The requirement for this season is just to stay up, then show progression during a pretty significant re-build of the squad.

Agree. I’m expecting there to be more in the frame than those 3 though.

Their are over 40 managers who have applied from Mark Bowen to even Warren Feeney have applied.

Jeez. Didn’t expect that many!!!

I applied, get yer CV in asap

So many ‘experts’ posting on here atm. I sometimes wonder if they’d rather someone sh/t so it can mean that they can continue posing their negativity.
Yes me may not get a manager that’s everyone’s cup of tea but we just might get a gem. Let’s wait and see eh.
Either way, the new manager and players will get my 100% support and that won’t change. :bluescarf:

I’m surprised Neil Critchley hasn’t been talked about more - his record is really impressive in terms of moving from coaching young teams into what to date has been a successful management role with Blackpool.

I'm coming out of retirement to apply after all I'm younger than some managers in jobs at moment. :laughing6:

Two problems. Firstly we would have to pay a lot of compensation to Blakpool and we are cash strapped. Secondly Blackpool are better than us a and we look a more like relegation contenders than Blackpool. Don't think anyone managing Blackpool would see us as a step up at the moment.

I didn’t say we would go for him, but surprised he hasn’t been mentioned. Some of the coaches on that list are employed so they too would require comp.

Agree that could be a problem, but of course we are a step up from Blackpool - we are within 3 wins of them, so league position alone is not an indicator of whether we would be more attractive. There might be other reasons for sure, but league position 25% into the season shouldn’t be one of them.
