A forum for all things Cardiff City

I like our team . It is well balanced. Bacuna in his correct position and Giles is good to be wing-back .
Colwill more freedom to operate more central or drift wide. However Stoke are no push overs and their bench is the best bench I’ve seen this season .

Ive got a good feeling

Quite scrappy so far.
Moore draws the defender and the ball over the top is pounced on by Colwill. He gets into the box, one-on-one.
Decides to square for Evans, with the goal at his mercy, but the pass is so poor.

Bit of afters between Vaulks and Fletcher after the Cardiff man fouls Wilmot in the middle of the park.

GOAL! Stoke City 1-0 Cardiff City (Brown)
Brown heads the hosts in front.

Bollux agai 2nil now

Cardiff initially deal with it, but Stoke knock it back in and Wilmot is inexplicably left free in the area on the right. Cardiff eventually sort themselves out and the ball is deflected out for a corner.
Stoke very much on the front foot so far.

To think I was actually looking forward to the game

2nil

What a goal

There's no dressing it up.
Cardiff have been abominable in these opening 15 minutes or so.
Simple ball over the top allowed Brown in initially in the build-up for the goal.
Just too easy for the hosts so far.

I am seriously worried about our league survival ..we are in free fall...I can't see where the next goal is coming from let alone a win..it's been over 8hrs since we've scored.. shocking

We are in deep trouble

Another defeat on its way....
A change in manager alone is unlikely to be the answer to prevent relegation this season.

Corner's fizzed in towards Fletcher, but his header is well over.

To make it worse the jacks will go up this season.

Heavy touch from Moore in the middle of the park, but he wins a foul.

Tan cut the cloth with the summer transfer business.
He and we are now seeing it unfold with league 1 probably a certaintity.

Unfortunately. In hindsight. McCarthy ripped the guts out of a solid experienced squad and replaced them with kids.
Anyone half decent was ditched. Anyone with any ability had it made clear they weren’t staying.
It’s all well and good having a clear out but you need replacements there.

It will take somebody special to keep us up now,yes plenty of football matches left but we haven't got a clue.
Need loans in January so we need somebody who can act on this,a lower league manager won't have the contacts available.

We are finished as a club. This run of defeats will carry on and on and on regardless of who is in charge. We will set new records I am afraid. This is a Sunderland style implosion.

Now in bottom 3
Sat Oct 30, 2021 2:32 pm
As it stands we are now in the bottom 3

Poor from Vaulks.
Allows Fletcher to get into the pocket of space on the edge of the box too easily.
Fletcher has another go, but Morrison is there to block.

Finished as a club?
A bit overly dramatic.
Don't make a drama out of a crisis.

Vaulks clears, but Smith eventually knocks the ball back in.
Looping header is claimed by Smithies.
Sat Oct 30, 2021 2:37 pm
Brown thinks he's in again.
Offside.
