How many of our squad would get into either of our promotion winning squad? It's not just Bagan and Bacuna that wouldn't be near.
Remember when we moaned we didn't sign a recognised right back and were playing Manga there out of position!

Fans cry that we haven't brought enough academy products through over the last so many years then when we do we instantly question them and say they're out of their depth. Its pathetic embrace their energy and hunger, yes they will make mistakes how else are they going to improve. Same goes for Sang, colwill, Harris etc. They look a bit naive in parts but I can see the potential in them all which excites me
Totally agree with what you’re saying we got to stick with the youngsters they will get better it was a tough test for them yesterday against one of our biggest rivals but has you said they will get better tan not going to spend loads of money bring players we need .I thought we played well yesterday if we had taken our chances we would have won the game the Bristol city keeper pulled of a great save just before half time it could have been so different going in at half time level we weren’t that dominant in the air in there area that did disappoint me a bit .to be fair to Bristol city they weathered the storm in the first half got the first goal which stemmed from kiefer Moore not holding the ball up we where chasing the game after that but overall it was a decent game and Bristol just edged it

Wow, what a thread !!!
I opened it thinking it was going to be about Micks tactics of playing as many defensive players as possible whilst leaving your target man so isolated i thought he had been ping'd by track and trace !
Bagan looks like he still doesn't have the confidence to try to beat his man so he is just playing a supportive full back role
Sang doesn't look a right back to me, still
Colwell falls into the same category as Tomlin and Wilson of going missing in the advanced playmaker role...Perhaps its not the player ???
Micks 541 means the full backs push up with no real intent of going deep, but that does give our three centre halfs more space and time on the ball. And there is the problem, Morrison is the best and if was adequate in that department he would have been in the premier league years ago. Nelson is barely non league with the ball at his feet, but a great stopper.
We are what we are, but its not Bagans or Sangs fault. We don't have anyone who can travel with the ball except Giles for a 5 min spell. Whether that's selection or lack of attributes in the squad I am unsure.
Mick won't change, we'll be mid table and hopefully Bagan and Colwell have 30 games in the bank.

Terrible all this really. It's such an easy thing to pick on the youngsters. Bagan didn't have a great game but out of his depth? Terrible.
Sang got caught out perhaps for the second goal but I thought he played very well today

None of the kids are good enough yet.todays bench was shocking.reality check needed
It is actually haven't won At HOME for eleven games, they beat reading away 3-2 on the 17th August

I don’t think it’s the academy players we need to worry about really, it’s consistently playing Bacuna, he is a liability

Spot on.
Bacuna gives away goals every season....Balham is s still learning and would to see a more experienced left back there but he needs games to improve....same with Sang.
Think we lack top championship quality players in several positions.
Fair play to MM for giving it a go but the bench isn’t good enough when we get behind in games

Now Balham.
How many names does he want?
Literally Millwall game it was said how strong our bench was.

My main concern with both our young wing backs is their lack of pace. Experience will stand them in good stead positioning wise, and timing their runs, but it won't make them quicker. It is noticeable that neither can beat an opponent from a standing start, and Sang in particular has let a few crosses past him when he's been beaten for pace.

I think that’s a bit unfair on Bagan, the defensive awareness will improve as he gets more game time, same as Sang. He almost scored as well, no doubt no one would be slagging him off then.
The one who worries me most at present is Colwill. On the ball he shows a lot of quality, off the ball he looks like he has absolutely no idea what’s going on. Probably needs a loan, similarly to Mark Harris who although I think is quite limited and not up to championship standard, at least has somewhat decent game awareness
