Yep it tells us that Joe Bennett would like to continue playing and currently is without a contract and needs one.

While I agree he’s a different sort of character to Tomlin the situation is very different.

Like him or not but without tomlin in this side we are shit or average at best. Other people need to step up in his shoes and create but no1 has done it up until now imo

30 starts in over three and half years, ITS 100% he can go ASAP :thumbright:

Sack him as he is not fit to do the job he is being paid for.
Clubs need to make a stance in this type of situation. If he takes us to court so be it at least we will have got rid of him.
Never mind employment law, this fat git is taking the piss.

I like him myself would have got us i promotion that year if he didn’t get injured in that last game after carrying the whole team. Think he’s just to creative for MM just doesn’t suit his boring lump it up style of play. In terms of his contract he got paired what he’s worth at the time, for me the financial side of the club is not for me to be concerned with.
Hopefully he shines through again for us soon.

For three & a half years he has only started in 30 matches, Tomlin will go down as one of the most talented players, but one of the worst ever signings and costly beyond belief.

I would never ever have Tomlin in my team as he is 100% unreliable and has been for six other clubs, he will eventually shine later this season as he will want to be in the shop window.

His attitude stinks.

That would be a good article to do I think.

I reckon Cornelius would be top of any list.

8 million and 45k a week.

Tomlin’s situation would have changed a lot had we beaten Fulham in that play off semi.

He really did look amazing towards the back end of that season and there was no one who didn’t want him signed to a new contract at the time.

No good looking good for a couple of months out of nearly 4 yrs.
Done the same with 6 previous clubs.

Tomlin is to blame NO ONE ELSE.

Absolute tosh.. !

Not having Tomlin (currently MIA) just means we play a style that fits the squad and so far this season it's been more effective than some might have hoped

Lee Tomlin (and I've defended him in the past) cannot be relied on; partly due to his own attitude :(

You are correct; but what happened prior to that (not just at our club) with Warnock shipping him out and subsequent managers seeing him as 'problematic' with or without his injuries, shows the guy has a poor attitude and no real motivation

I can only summise that playing in thr Premier League (ref. the Fulham match) would have got him an even bigger wage for sitting on his backside...?

He may come back, he may not; but value for money, he is possibly the biggest drain on the club ever, as at least ACorn wanted to play...

When you look at amount wasted no way is Tomlin anywhere near Cornelius. We also actually had something out of Tomlin.

It's getting to stage where mm will be questioning do we actually need him as 1st team regular? Not questioning his talents but the way city is set up lately do we actually need him starting?

The Tomlin from the games up to and including playoffs would be an asset but let’s be honest what’s the likelihood of that?

No doubting hes an asset but do you alter set up to fit him in games he his fit to play in? As we know when injured he's out 6to8 weeks usually.... is it worth starting him in 1st 0place if team is doing good without him?

get him fit and then sell him - or just sell him now.
he's been hanging out too much with the other sick note of the club Vassell.

Giles (in 4 games) has proven himself to be ahead of Tomlin in the pecking order

Doubt Tomlin would enjoy playing in this side.. like asking Renoir to paint the side of a ship.

Breach of contract, There must be a clause there somewhere that states if you go awol and don't turn up for work we can terminate the contract. Mind you we couldn't get rid of Jaz Richards even though some people was arguing with me about him. The senior figures at the club have questions to answer regarding miss managing of money.

Jaz Richards ??
Lee Tomlin ??
Mendez Lang ??

Just to very some recent issues.

Does anybody really think that there is a queue waiting to sign him, given his track record? I was really hoping that he would get himself fit as he has shown that he is capable of making great passes that can rip a defence apart, but I can't even remember when he last appeared.
