Absolutely delighted with a point and the spirit the lads showed.
BUT was a terrible performance.
If you consider that Giles is essentially a wing-back and Bacuna a more defensive player (he played most of his career as RB or CDM) then we STARTED the game with 10 defensive players. No wonder we didn't muster a single chance in the first 80 minutes.
I said this after the game at Blackpool that we are find playing a defensive game against sides with limited ball carriers and against 442 variants... but when teams match our formation and have better possession players, runners and ball carriers then we will struggle.... hence Peterborough took an anticipated lead in the second. Last season they scored a lot of goals in the second half and after such an inept performance in the first half by us it was almost inevitable they would score if we didn't make early changes. We didn't and they did score.
It's this kind of negativity, when you have attacking players on the bench, that will once again see us falter against technically better sides.
Dembele was the best player on the pitch. Oh how we could do with someone in midfield like that - quick, keeps possession, carries the ball forward, can pick out passes and scored a goal.
Anyway, onwards we go... every point is worth something.

Pack was excellent. Put himself about and put in two brilliant crosses for our goals. Especially the second cross where he sold an outrageous dummy before putting the ball on Flint's head. All opinions though
