Selling the club; he would only be happy doing it if he knew the Club would prosper and I don’t see anyone with money out there or the inclination to buy us or anyone he will like.
The other option is to let us go under the ownership of the Berjaya group ! We might have seen the start of it with the name on the shirt and also the recent addition to the board? He would also be happy because in his mind he’d know the Club would prosper.
Berjaya are a big company and taking us over could be seen as a coup.
Time will certainly tell us that’s for sure.
Exactly Karl, it certainly would be a big coup for VT to put us under the Berjaya group umbrella, this new guy has been brought in to oversee City moving forward, make of that what you will, I know what I think.
His resume is quite excellent. It does seem that VT is in it for the long run, even if he was not, like you I really cannot see anyone with the money and ambition to take us over.
Jalil currently serves as the Group CEO of Berjaya Corporation, based in Malaysia. Jalil will help to direct the Club in all strategic decision making and planning, working closely with Tan Sri Vincent Tan, Chairman Mehmet Dalman and Executive Director & CEO, Ken Choo.
Jalil has 18 years of distinguished investment career globally, with firms such as Abrdn & Invesco in senior leadership roles in Europe & Asia. Jalil was also Group CEO of Malaysia’s state investment fund, PNB, the youngest to helm the role at 37 years old.
Roger,
I don’t think it’s because VT has lost interest I believe it’s health issues and he doesn’t want to leave it up in the air if something happens.

So without saying it looks as if tan is laying foundations for club to be transferred out of his overall control to another of his enterprises with a long term goal that has not been divulged at the moment..... but will it be revealed to the
fans?

They could not wait to get out once Bob passed.
Different scale I know but worrying for me if true.

Burnley have been talking to City about signing Kieffer Moore, they not offering what City want at moment, hearing City want £8mill -£10mill, going to be interesting as City want the money
As much as I want him to stay, £9 - 10 M is a good price.
Sell him and can forget promotion and will alienate fans.... be probably clubs poorest decision in many years...

the club is running down now depending on freebies and kids
I know times are hard but the only way to recover is promotion ..you don t need to spend millions just keep what you have...the other way will set us back years

The team is decent enough but not on par with the top teams and certainly all relegated teams...
