My perspective from the Grange end. Atmosphere DIRE. Ninian abysmal Canton very Quiet and disappointed with them. Grange end absolute shite. 300 Hull fans were superb and made all the noise 24,000 fans couldn't.
Now lets get this right its a two way thing sometimes the team need the fans to get them going we did not do our part full stop us as supporters was embarrassing, sometime the team needs to get the crowd going.
The first half we played well and dominated considering our injuries, the second half was no tempo this is when us as fans should of lifted them but didn't. Overall today's result was massive and shows we can do it without Bellers.
Well done to the team and well done to Rae who proved me wrong in slating him when he came on to which about 50 fans around me went ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when they announced who scored the second. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
Marks out of ten for the players 8 marks out of ten to the supporters 1.

Awwwww bless you all!!!

No atmosphere and some of you neandertals had to learn how to move your legs and sit down!!!

Sums a lot of you up really. We win, quite comfortably, against a side playing premiership football last season and you have to whinge about the so-called lack of "atmosphere."

It's all about you isn't it? The children and teenagers on here I can understand as they tend to be rather egocentric in their outlook but those of you who are chronologically adults really need to get a grip.

I'll take this "rubbish game" every week thank you very much. A virtually full house and three points towards promotion.

Never mind children, Millwall in a fortnight. That'll give you the chance to get really excited about something.

Events on the pitch don't really bother some of you does it?

I kind of know what annis saying and agreed (I think) but trying to explain it.
I think today was a good game but lacked that buzz, maybe like Manu of a few years ago or a Chelsea of now? We now expect to win everygame and it has left the atmosphere stale? Or we just ain't used to it?

Maybe I'm wrong

Looks to me Claude has been on the pop again.

So Claude when you have got over your hangover this morning answer this will you. Do you reckon that Hull squad was the same as the one in the premier? If its possible for you to do a bit of research you might find your statement in red slightly of the mark by about a million miles.

The atmosphere was dead today. Thats what guys are talking about on this thread. Nothing to do with off the pitch outside the ground activites. Your not winding us up Claude as you claim but asically boring the tits off us these days.

For the size of the crowd the atmosphere was poor, if my memory serves me correctly I remember the cup match at home to the Wurzels provided a better atmosphere and that was with 7,000 fans ( but we were standing  ).

As for the game, I was concerned that in the first half we totally dominated but only scored from a set piece and didnt have one effort on goal from open play, something which I think will concern DJ and TB.

The second half we allowed Hull more of the pitch by sitting deeper but with their possession I thought that they were a poor side and were unlikely to score.

The game seemed to go through the motions and was lit up by individual pieces of skill ie. Burke and Whitts.

I still have concerns about the centre halves, both Gypese and Hudson are prone to making at least one gaff a game and those gaffs could have cost us dearly.

Overall though I will remain positive as it was an excellent result, made greater by the fact it we were not at full strength.

Claude, my little girls, love to hear singing and an Atmosphere, maybe you dont, but judging by what you put on here you would prefer us to play in a Church yard.

crap atmosphere, for some reason no one felt like signing yesterday

i agree the atmosphere was dire, but to call the game "rubbish" is a bit harsh !

Some here just love to moan.

Too many harking back to Ninian Park, forgetting how dire the atmosphere could be there.

We won 2 - 0 and are joint top of the table.

I'll take a so-called "rubbish" game and atmosphere every match as long as we win.

FFS, get real!!!

we won and are up the top of the table, we will have to dig out wins, and it wont all be free flowing brazilian like play. i agree with that claude.

but the atmosphere was poor, it will better vs millwall though claude :D

Agreed, always better in certain games e.g.Swansea and Bristol City.

However, supporters support their club in different ways. Not all of us want to sing and shout for 90 minutes. I'm much quieter these days, tending to watch the match without shouting and singing all the time and if that makes me boring then so be it!!

We all pay our money and are entitled to support our club in whatever manner we wish. It doesn't make you any less of a fan.

i agree, i chose to stand in the canton and attempt to sing for 90mins. im no more of a fan than you, and no less :ayatollah:

Because of the damn stewards telling everyone to sit down through out the game, next to the away fans in the Ninian. It's because of that letter that was sent to season ticket holders in that block, it's made everyone sit down and it's killed the atmopshere. :( Though I can't see this working when we play Millwall, Leeds, Swansea and Bristol City.
