i wonder if this one was an actual penalty or just another dive...

A dive! because boro player was in front of swans player.... he stretches leg to cut out cross and swans player stretches from behind and dives forward having no chance to reach ball! Said this numerous times players are conning refs by putting leg in front of defender to get penalty this classic example..... good result for us but they are cheating their way to promotion. :o

I always think ‘would I be annoyed if that wasn’t given for us?’
The answer is that I would. It was a pen in my eyes.

Got to be honest, I thought it was a penalty from the clips I saw on Soccer Saturday.

The one in midweek was a shocking decision though, as was the decision to disallow a goal for Middlesbrough today.

Oh well it’ll be fun watching them get stuffed week in week out next season as VAR would see though their diving.

Don’t think in all my years watching the game has one team had as much luck as them. :old:

Ned watch it closely boro player is ahead of swans player.. he stretches to cut out ball swans player stretches to reach ball knowing he was not going to get it of course hes going to catch defender and fall over ... but how is that a pen when attacking player is simply putting leg in front of defender to get it caught ? As you know I've said this before about players putting leg in front of defender to win penalty its the main reason for excessive penalties being awarded this season.. shouldn't complain as boro still behind us but hate thec cheating that is endemic in football at moment

Warnock , alledges that Steve Cooper and Swansea are having preferential treatment from referees , because of his dad Keith Cooper !!!
Warnock will get fined and banned , but the EFL wont look into the blatent cheating by Swansea! Not just the last two games , they should have had a sending off against us . But nothing given .

Just seen it again, and see your point.

Warnock says:

“I’ll have to ask Steve for a contact number for his dad, Keith Cooper, he must have influences somewhere. They had a penalty on Wednesday which was never a penalty. They probably will be promoted if they keep on getting the right referees."

A lot of disappointing fans on this board tonight. Colin W was man of the match today for his entertaining antics on the line today.

I'd rather focus on how we do than they do. The fact that their result helped us out, is a better result in my opinion.

If there was a situation where we needed them to win to finish in the play-offs, be promoted or avoid relegation in any season, I'm assuming you'd rather they lose.

THE JACKS SCRAPE ANOTHER WIN AGAINST ANGRY WARNOCK

Sat Mar 06, 2021 9:24 pm

Yet another game where the jacks cheat there way to 3 points. The referees never give Warnock a break and this game was no different. Hate how the jacks keep winning last minute goals. :x :x

That reminds me of what happened in 1981 season. Swansea needed to win at Preston to go up and we needed Swansea to win to help us to stay up so it was a bittersweet but more sweet than bitter I suppose- not that it did us any good as we got relegated the next season
